185 Employees Leave Los Alamos Nuclear Weapons Lab Due to Vaccine Mandate

    By Ivan Pentchoukov
    October 24, 2021 Updated: October 24, 2021

The New Mexico lab that produced the world’s first nuclear bomb lost 185 employees as a vaccine mandate deadline expired on Oct. 22, according to a lawsuit (pdf) filed against the operator of the facility the same day.
An additional 153 employees at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) were placed on leave without pay or are using vacation pay because they obtained a religious exemption, the lawsuit says. Twenty-six employees were granted medical exemptions.
The lawsuit cited an article by Los Alamos Reporter, which says that the numbers were disclosed during an all-hands meeting at the lab on Oct. 21.
The lab employs nearly 14,000 workers. Two-thirds of all the work at the facility is focused on weapons programs. Nearly one in five of the employees at the lab hold Ph.D. degrees. Triad National Security LLC operates the complex as a contractor for the federal government.
Approximately 85 percent of the LANL workforce had been vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus as of Aug. 23, when management announced a vaccine mandate, according to an internal email (pdf). The FDA granted full approval for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on the same day.
A month later, on Sept. 20, LANL President Thomas Mason said an additional 1,000 employees had been vaccinated.
LANL did not respond to a request for comment.
The lawsuit filed on Friday listed eight of the 153 employees who were placed on leave due to having received a religious exemption from the vaccine mandate.
“Defendants have approved religious exemptions for some employees, including plaintiffs and others not before the Court, but have given with one hand and then taken back with the other by imposing a blanket, one-size-fits-all accommodation that places those employees for whom a religious exemption has been granted on indefinite leave without pay and stripping them of their benefits,” the lawsuit states. “Defendants’ actions amount to a constructive termination.”
LANL did not grant an exemption to employees who have acquired natural immunity to COVID-19 through prior infection. A number of studies show that natural immunity grants similar or better protection against the virus. While the effectiveness of vaccines wanes over time, requiring booster shots, natural immunity lasts at least a year, according to a recent peer-reviewed study.
Employees with religious exemptions were told on Sept. 9 that they would be placed on unpaid leave or “may use vacation leave until an accommodation that will not unduly burden the laboratory or other employees has been identified,” according to a directive cited in the lawsuit.
On Sept. 20, LANL extended the vaccine mandate to employees working from home.
The lab operated throughout the pandemic with employees wearing masks and social distancing.
A judge in a separate lawsuit on Oct. 15 rejected a request by 114 employees of the lab to block the vaccine mandate.

(VIDEO) Biden’s {V@X} Mandate; Over 100 Los Alamos Nuclear Weapons Lab Workers Suing

It’s blatantly obvious that Chinese Resident Chou Biah-Dung doesn’t care about servicemen, cops, fire-fighters, small business owners, farmers, ranchers, truckers… you know, the people that keep America safe and operating at least with some semblance of normality.

Sadly, those with mere bachelors or associates degrees or even those horrible folks who only have a *GASP!* high school diploma aren’t the only ones in the Biden crosshairs.

As it turns out, Biden’s mandate will also violate the rights of project managers, nuclear engineers, research techs, many of them holders of PhDs.

    Reporter Susan Montoya Bryan of the Associated Press notes that more than 100 employees are suing their Los Alamos National Laboratory contractor (who was outsourced by the Department of Energy) due to the illegal and unconstitutional vaccine mandate by the Biden Administration (emphasis mine);

Workers at one of the nation’s premier nuclear weapons laboratories face a deadline Friday — be vaccinated or prepare to be fired.
A total of 114 workers at Los Alamos National Laboratory — the birthplace of the atomic bomb — are suing over the mandate, saying exemptions have been unduly denied and their constitutional rights are being violated by Triad National Security LLC, the contractor that runs the lab for the U.S. Department of Energy.
It will be up to a state district judge whether to grant an injunction to prevent employees from being fired while the merits of the case are decided. A hearing was underway Thursday.
The lawsuit alleges that lab management has been harassing employees and has created a hostile work environment. The complaint outlines the experiences of many of the workers, including one who was screamed at for not being vaccinated and was told by a fellow crew member that he and his family deserved to die.
Some employees said many of those who could lose their jobs are specialists in their fields and would be difficult to replace in the short term.
Some of the employees who are part of the lawsuit have worked for Los Alamos lab for decades, while others are newer hires who have relocated to New Mexico from other states and countries.
I can’t help but wonder if Biden has some Chinese nuclear specialists ready to fill the vacancies (sarcasm off).

In a late breaking development, television station KRQE or Albuquerque, NM, has cited in a video report (below) that New Mexico district court judge Jason Lidyard has ruled against the plaintiffs.

Attorney Jonathan Diener, who is representing a number of the workers in their lawsuit, stated that they are considering an appeal, presenting evidence to a jury trial, or possibly even working with a mediator to work with the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
