AURORA (MyFOXColorado.com) - The unthinkable happened at an ice cream shop in Aurora. A crash on the busy street outside the store killed three people including a 3-year-old inside the store.

A pickup truck was broad-sided at Mississippi Avenue and Havana Street and it went right into the Baskin Robbins Ice Cream shop at that location Thursday night.

The white Mazda pickup hit and killed a 3-year-old who was sitting at a table. The crash also killed the two women inside the Mazda. Officers received the first 911 call at 8:02 p.m.

Aurora Police say a 2004 Blue Chevrolet Suburban was heading south on Havana approaching Mississippi. Witnesses told investigators they believed the Suburban was traveling at a high rate of speed and that it possibly ran a red light. It continued southbound through the busy intersection.

Police say the 1998 Mazda was on northbound Havana, when the driver made a left turn at the entrance to the Good Times restaurant at the location. The Suburban broad-sided the Mazda as the small pickup crossed in front of it.

The collision caused the Suburban to rollover, and it came to rest against the ice cream store. The Mazda traveled along the front of the store and dragged debris from a utility box along with it. Police say that debris may have snared the 2-year-old child who was sitting at a table inside the Baskin Robbins.

Police say the driver of the Suburban, 23-year-old Francis Hernandez ran from the crash and led them on a chase and intense search through the nearby neighborhood. Officers caught him and he was in the Aurora city jail Friday morning.

A family member told FOX 31 News Friday morning that the little boy's name was Martin, and that he had just turned three years old. The family member said the boy's mother was at the ice cream store when the crash happened, and his father was at home.

The child was taken to a hospital, but later died. The two women in the Mazda were pronounced dead at the scene. Two other people inside the store were injured.

Everyday life, as we engage in normal activities will become more and more dangerous because the illegal immigration problem is not being addressed. It might be a better idea to eat your ice cream at home. Its not safe to be out in public.

All these people are aiders and abettor if they ignored this illegal criminal alien while giving him a license, car insurance, truck inspection, and who paid property tax.
