Three men were arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder in connection with the slaying of a 26-year-old man, Tucson police said.

Armando Arvizu was found dead in a vehicle Sunday night in the 6000 block of South Fontana Avenue on Tucson’s south side, said Sgt. Matt Ronstadt, a police spokesman.

Gang Unit detectives obtained information that led them Monday to a house in the 200 block of West Illinois Street.

Investigators set-up surveillance and as the men left the house, detectives arrested Josue Hernandez, 26, and Raul Martinez, 37, both of Tucson; and Arcadio Chavez, 32, of Arivaca, Ronstadt said.

In addition to the murder charges, the men also were each arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault, said Ronstadt.

Anyone with information about the case can call 911 or 88-CRIME.
