3 slain in latest round of violence

Suspected drug-related violence continued Thursday in Juárez as three more homicides were reported by Chihuahua state police.

Just after 7 a.m. Thursday, Jose Guadalupe Mendoza Pichardo, 39, was found shot several times in a car near Paseo Triunfo de la Republica and Vicente Guerrero streets.

Late Wednesday, an unidentified man was found slain in colonia Barrio Alto. On Wednesday afternoon, an unidentified man, who had been strangled, was found burned south of the former customs checkpoint on the highway to Casas Grandes.
