Thread: 300 Gang Members Arrested in S. FLA

We need to have a death penalty or permanent jail time. Many gang unit members know that many gang members from MS-13 have been arrested, served time and were deported only to come back and repeat that process. They are like a bad rash that doesn't want to go away.

MIAMI - Federal and local law enforcement agents have arrested 321 suspected gang members in South Florida during a month-long investigation, officials said today.

Alleged members of the MS-13, SUR-13, Victory Park, Leisure City and One Way gangs were among those taken into custody, according to U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement, which coordinated the effort.

Those arrested face charges that include racketeering, drug dealing, firearms possession and parole violation.

The arrests came as part of an ICE initiative labeled "Operation Community Shield," in which federal agents teamed with local law officers to tackle "transnational" street gangs.

"Those arrested are from Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Jamaica, El Salvador, Colombia, Chile and the United States," according to a statement from ICE.

Assisting local agencies included the Broward and Palm Beach sheriff's offices and the police departments of Miami-Dade County, Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Boynton Beach and Lake Worth.

Other federal agencies, such as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, were also involved.

I certainly hope we have enough jail space to handle this latest roundup. If we deport them, they will be back in 15 minutes, if not sooner.

Maybe the death penalty for the diehard gangbangers would be the solution. If their own governments say it's the only way to stop them, who are we to disagree? They can still operate their gangs from jail, so let's take care of it once and for all. It would be an added deterrent for any would-be gang members. They would think twice before joining gangs.

How about GITMO? I'm not aware of any law that says we have to jail foreign nationals in our country illegally in our jails and prisons where we put Americans. They need to be stored separately, like on an island with no communication with the outside world so they can't continue to run their gangs and criminal activity in our country.
