70 bullets kill two men, wound another in Juárez

A barrage of more than 70 shots were fired in a roadway shooting on Sunday night that killed two men and wounded another along Avenida Vicente Guerrero in Juárez, Chihuahua state investigators said Monday.
The men were in a gray Crown Victoria and had just left a horse race track when they were followed by a white van, whose occupants fired multiple shots, investigators said.

Lorenzo Juárez Aguayo, 29, and Agustin Damian Navarrete, 38, died seated inside a gray Crown Victoria. They received multiple gunshot wounds.

Juan Verdugo, 21, who was in the back seat of the car, was wounded and taken to a Juárez hospital in undisclosed condition.

JUAREZ, Mexico -- Juarez police uncovered the bodies of two more women Saturday.

One of the women, in her late 20s was found in an area known as Las Lomas.

Investigators said her body had already begun to decompose so at this time her identity isn't known.

The other woman, Eva Lorena Hernandez, died after investigators said four men entered the bar she was at and killed her by firing off eight rounds.

At this time, the Crimes Against Women Unit is investigating both slayings.
