There's 2 window washers hanging from scaffoling in Ft Lauderdale at a hotel called Ocean Mist.

I wonder if they will report their country status?

Those CNN people, like others, can make a moutain out of a mole hill.
They report it like it's so captivating. How can they repeat that story 10 times in 10 minutes.
Personally it drives me nuts.

Governments have learned to distract others - particularly their voters - from an issue by setting up a straw dummy and knocking it down. In the case where the main thrust of some legislation would be roundly condemned, they add one positively draconian measure as a dummy and give it up to achieve all their other goals. What bigger distraction could there be than WWIII, nuclear/biological/EMP style? I think the US set out to distract their voters and the world from the financial problems by saber rattling over Iran. War is not only hell, it is expensive.

I think the US made a mistake. Russia recognized the ploy and has taken advantage of it. In 1989, when the USSR went bankrupt over the Cold War, the US was in bad financial shape as well. No war in history has ever been settled until one or both of the protagonists went broke.

Novolipetsk Steel said Wednesday that it agreed to buy John Maneely Company, the United States' largest independent steel pipe and tube manufacturer, for $3.5 billion in the biggest North American purchase ever by a Russian metals company.

Novolipetsk, also known as NLMK, said it would acquire 100 percent of JMC from Carlyle Group, the world's second-largest private-equity firm, and the Zekelman family, as Russia's metals giants continue to buy up the continent's steel assets.

Sure is. Guess our President told Georgia not to do what they did.....but they did it anyway......and they're mad Russia reacted so strongly and he's ordered him to stop....but not so sure they are going to comply on demand either.

I've seen the Georgian President interviewed on Glenn Beck, he is an upstanding and articulate man. This is a democratically elected President and a country in transition. Putin has lied through his teeth. This isn't about South Ossetia, Russia has gone into the interior of Georgia a sovereign country and invaded it. Fox News has many pictures of the destruction and school buses bombed, etc. It is obvious that Russia has planned this just by the scope of their operations.

Obama's co-hort, VA Governor, said he was glad yesterday that Putin had listened to Obama to comply with the cease fire. NOT. Guess Obama doesn't have any pull with old Vladimir.

This would be the same if Mexico invaded us.

Good point, Gogo. One correspondent on FOX said that half the population of those regions, South Ossetia and Abkhasia, has Russian citizenship, so they were right to invade to protect their citizens. WHAT? If some of the US border communities have half the residents with Mexican citizenship, does that give Mexico the right to invade to protect their citizens?

Steve Harrigan just had a segment. He's there and they got emergency text messages from the BBC to get out of Gori. As they were moving out the Russian personnel carriers were coming in and only 12 miles from the capitol of Georgia. This isn't just coming to a conflict about South Ossetia. This is larger than that. They are headed for control of the oil fields.

NOW, in Biblical prophecy, Russia is a big player to come in an attack Israel. When we hear Russia verbally attacking Israel like Iran, its coming. They will move together against Israel.

I don't doubt prophecy for a minute, Gogo. After Georgia, the Russians just have to tromp through Armenia and set up bases at Iran, their good buddy to launch missiles against Israel. The Mayan calendar ends in on Dec. 21, 2012 (according to History Channel) and an asteroid will probably pretty well demolish any life on earth in 2036 (per National Geographic Channel).
