Disney Resort
Bonus Details: Disney is upping its hiring bonus for full- and part-time workers, the Orlando Sentinel reports. New hires may receive up to $3,000 to fill the 3,500 openings the park anticipates. For full or part-time housekeeping, a $1,250 bonus can be earned for the $10.50 per hour job, which is more than double the $500 bonus the company offered in 2017. Full- or part-time lifeguards can earn as much as $1,000 in a bonus, while bus drivers and seasonal lifeguards can receive a $500 bonus. Culinary chefs can earn $3,000. To receive the bonus, employees must remain on board for at least 30 days following training.

Union Pacific
Bonus Details: Omaha-based Union Pacific is offering signing bonuses as high as $15,000 for diesel mechanics, $20,000 for train crew positions and up to $25,000 for diesel electricians in North Platte, home to UP’s Bailey Yard, the world’s largest train yard. UP spokeswoman Kristen South said the railroad also is offering $10,000 signing bonuses to people who join the company’s diesel electrician apprenticeship program.

Bonus Details: To fulfill the nation’s growing healthcare needs, the U.S. will have to produce over one million new registered nurses by 2022, according to the American Nurses Association. UCHealth, a nine-hospital, nonprofit health system that operates over 100 clinics across Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska, currently has 330 openings for RNs. UCHealth is struggling to find nurses locally and has been looking for candidates from other states and countries.

The health system is now offering new recruits relocation allowances and signing bonuses of up to $10,000, which provides nurses with up to $4,000 annually to invest in continuing education, Kathy Howell, BSN, RN, chief nursing executive for UCHealth, told CNNMoney. It also offers the Traveler RN program, which allows nurses to complete a 13-week rotation at different UCHealth facilities.

Bonus Details: According to its website, BNSF is offering hiring bonuses of up to $25,000 for certain jobs in Kansas City, Topeka, Denver, Chicago, and parts of Wyoming, Montana and other states. BNSF spokeswoman Amy Casas told the Wall Street Journal that the company is facing a talent shortage across its network. “We are constantly evaluating the market and will use this approach when it makes sense to recruit talented individuals for hard to fill positions or locations,” she told the newspaper.
