    Obama Widens Lead Over Romney as Smear Tactics Take Hold
    An interesting phenomena that these polls show Obama gaining a lead while the Gallup poll shows Obama's overall approval rating falling. It would be useful if the people reporting these poll results provided specific parameters used such as whether or not they polled all adults, only registered voters, or only likely voters within the registered voter categories. It would also be useful to know whether or not the samples of registered voters was split according to the current percentages of registered Democrats, registered Republicans, registered third party (e.g., Libertarian) and registered Independents. I heard that the Fox poll that showed Obama up by 9 percentage points over Romney oversampled Democrats by 9 per cent. So what do those poll results really show?
