Ask the Candidates a Question via YouTube

This came via email. It could be interesting. I havent looked into it. Too tired tonight.

    July 18, 2007

    Dear Friend of Children,

YouTube and CNN are teaming up to give engaged citizens like yourself a chance to ask the presidential candidates questions about children via YouTube video during the upcoming debates.

The first of these debates is next Monday, July 23, in Charleston, S.C., featuring the Democratic candidates. Your 30-second question will be reviewed by CNN's political team and could be shown live on the air during the two-hour debate. Even if your video is not among those selected for broadcast, anyone on YouTube's website will be able to find and view it.

To pose your question just make a 30-second video of yourself asking a question and submit it to YouTube. For tips on making your video and for instructions to upload your video, follow this link: http://www.youtube.com/debates

Ask the Candidates a Question via YouTube!

Here's your chance to ask the presidential candidates if they are for kids...or if they are just kidding. Just turn your question into a video and submit it to YouTube!

But you've only got until Sunday, July 22, to submit your video on YouTube.

If you're stumped on questions to ask the candidates, here are some to consider:

Over 8 million children have no health insurance in the U.S. How do you propose to ensure that children grow up healthy and have access to comprehensive health care?

3.5 million children nationwide were reported abused and neglected in 2005. What are your plans to keep all children safe from violence in their homes, schools, and communities?

Millions of children are left alone every day after school. What is your position on how to keep children safe and supervised in the late afternoon and early evening hours?

Millions of children lack access to early learning opportunities. What is your position on early learning and care, including preparing children for kindergarten?

Almost 13 million of America's children live in poverty. What would you do to help families with children become economically self-sufficient and able to provide for their family's needs?
Millions of children across the country have a parent in prison, putting the children themselves at greater risk of education failure, poverty, substance abuse and future imprisonment. What would you do to reduce this risk?
Thanks for your help in making children a political priority!
