Senator Arlen Specter may run as Democrat

This was just being announced on CNBC, that Senator Arlen Specter may change parties and run as a Democrat. Many may believe that he has been aligned with the Democrat Party in that he has voted for amnesty, more foreign workers, and he sure likes those bailouts.

Confirmed, he is changing his party affiliation to Democrat. Maybe the other democrats hiding behind republican cloth; i.e., Lieberman, McCain, Gramnesty will do the same.

    HILL TRANSITION
    Specter To Switch Parties

    By Chris Cillizza

Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter will switch his party affiliation from Republican to Democrat, according to sources informed of the decision.

Specter's decision would give Democrats a 60 seat filibuster-proof majority in the Senate, assuming Democrat Al Franken is eventually sworn in as the next senator from Minnesota. (Former senator Norm Coleman is appealing Franken's victory in the state Supreme Court.)

Specter as a Democrat would also fundamentally alter the 2010 calculus in Pennsylvania, as he was expected to face a difficult primary challenge next year from former represenative Pat Toomey. The only announced Democrat in the race is former National Constitution Center head Joe Torsella, although several other candidates are looking at the race.(quote)

All Democrats had better wake up to what their horrible elected leaders are truly doing.

LOLOf course why is this a surprise
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

NO surprise here......the Republicans have said for a long time, we have no party.....too many Republicans are in Democrat clothing which is why we have no representation and why so many have left the party. There is no party. They are the same. One robs the bank and the other drives the get-away car. Keep looking and I'm sure you'll find alot more Dems. in the Republican party.

The Republican Party is in big trouble--largely because of the mess Bush put us in. Here's what I don't get. Why can't the Republican Party focus on what the majority of Americans want (like a closed border, limited government, etc) and leave issues like abortion and same sex marriage OUT of their planks? They do not have to take a position on absolutely everything. That would bring people together. If they don't do something like that and continue to spend their time arguing on these side issues, we will have a Democrat run country from NOW ON. We are in a race to become a Banana Republic as we are going.
