WAKE UP, OR YOU WILL DIE HOMELESS AND HUNGRY

Most people are just like those in Nazi Germany under Hitler, some see the evil affecting others, but will ignore it until it's too late, but a majority of Americans are as uninformed as a box of rocks because they rely on the controlled media propaganda for information. Our media is really amazing, run by Liberals who do not have a clue that their liberal leaders are communists and their corporate employers are Fascists, with no loyalty to any country. The constitutional right of a free press was to insure Americans the information they must have to remain free, but our media is nothing more than the propaganda arms of owners in the “Chain of Command for Treasonâ€

What can individuals do to protect themselves and their families during the meltdown? Having lived during the Great Depression, I think it is almost impossible for those who have not lived thru something like that to even accept the possibility of it. There is a strong consensus on the following minimum courses of action for survival: Obtain legal firearms (pistol and rifle) with plenty of ammunition . Keep cash on hand with minimum in bank. Buy newly minted U.S. gold coins. Try to reduce debt. Have food on hand to last a year if possible. Have a supply of medications and other necessities. Expect failure of just about everything you now take for granted. Try to partner with likeminded neighbors.
    Thanks for the excellant post.

I'm planning on investing in a Berkey water filtration system because clean water will be hard to find and without clean water it's over fast.

Plus, an investment in a good food dehydrator is in my plan and a great solution. Dehydrated food includes everything from fruits and veggies to beef, etc. and is the easiest way to go. Lightweight and all you need is clean water.

I have also come across other suggestions:

    1. Be prepared to have a safe place to evacuate to if there is an emergency. Sadly, one emergency we may all be facing is the takeover of any neighborhood at random by foreign criminal gangs, especially if a public budget meltdown removes anymore police from our streets and a new President passes amnesty legislation for illegal aliens. Find a small camping "spot" in a rural area, but make sure there is no written record of where you are going. If someone asks, say that you spend an occasional weekend camping in a National Forest, but do not make any mention at all that you are stocking it with supplies or visit it on a regular basis. If the New World Order comes knocking on your door, the last thing you want them to know where you have gone and why you have gone.

    2. If you must evacuate your place right away, be prepared ahead of time (hard to do, obviously, but there are always warning signs). Don't tip people off that you are moving; be sure that you have the car loaded ahead of time and leave at the break of dawn, right before the sun comes up. Try to avoid the most used rush hour routes as these will probably jam up in an emergency. If your car stays standing in one spot for too long you will run out of gas and your car will become a magnet for thieves.

    3. Have a police scanner available if there seems to be an increase in area emergencies.

    4. Own a small shortwave radio. Sometimes news which is censored in the US gets broadcast from overseas.

    5. Buy the large institutional gallon cans of of beans, corn, etc. from restaurant warehouses. Nobody wants to eat like this forever, but these gallon cans are your best value. Food that is not that delicious will last a lot longer; if you stock up on "power bars" and other sweets, your food supply will run out alot faster.

    6. Get an anonymous Post Office box in a small town near the area you have set up as an evacuation site. Give out the address only to those you trust, but at some point be prepared that someone may attempt to track you down.

    7. Make sure you have anonymous email that can be used at small town library computer stations.

    8. Get a tracfone or similar phone which allows for minutes to be paid for without any identification.

    9. If you are good with electronics, get a ham radio license and experiment with packet radio. You should be able to access the Internet over a station repeater even if a broad area electrical failure shuts down most Internet access.

I started to read this post this moring and then had to go. I came back here to finish it and I am surprised that there are not more comments. Maybe it freaked to many people out?

As for me, Im going to start stockpiling water and canned food. I am also going to look into getting a permit for a side arm. My brother has MANY guns, but Im not sure if I am ready to take that step yet as I have 2 small kids 6 and 7 years old.

Sure are some scarey times we are in...

    Thank you,

When I get the water filtration system I will let you know how it works. Supposedly it can filter even the dirtiest water to be safe and clean to drink. As for the dehydrater, I'm excited because food can be stored and moved easily. I also, have invested in some awesome hiking boots in case I have to leave the beaten path and find safety.
