Thread: America's Got Talent?

This one of my favorite shows, but last week it was a real let down for me. These two woman flew into this country from Bucharest to enter the contest and are going to go on to the next stage. Am I being selfish here? Or am I justified in feeling betrayed if a show is called America's Got Talent and anyone from a foreign country can apply? I wrote to them and voiced my displeasure and said they should change the name to The World's Got Talent.

The name of the show sure ISN'T appropriate if ANYONE can participate!

Your not alone with that thought. I don't watch the show, but one thing that bugs me is baseball. American baseball and we seem to have a host of foreigners playing. I just can't believe we don't have talent here to play on our teams. Let them start their own teams in their own countries and compete with us. It's not that I don't enjoy watching them or anything.....I just get tired of having us loose out on these oppertunities for our own people when they could easily start it up in their own country.

You are not alone. So many of us feel the same.

Well, tonight they had 3 Russians who live in Canada. If I was an American contestant in this competition, I would be insulted, and I would feel cheated.
