I am just wondering why a coin? Who is going to walk around carrying a bunch of coins that weigh so much? You cant put the Amero in a moneyclip. Most mens billfolds are made for currency made of paper. And women dont want to carry purses that weigh a ton. I am just wondering who came up with this stupid coin. A Mexican globalist?

This is about as stupid as the buying one of the limited edition Barack Obama inaugural coins (produced by the New England Mint that has nothing to do with the US Mint.)
And while I am happy to see that he has adopted (and modified) so many symbols of the dollar, he has done a lousy job of acknowledging there is Spanish and French spoken in the three nations.
I have a feeling the Amero won't last long, before we all turn to the Globo, or perhaps adopt the Chinese yuan. It is beginning to seem to be a foreign currency trader may soon become a dead career.

Actually, with the smaller denominations, most countries use coins. The Euro does not use paper for anything less than a 5 Euro bill. They have 1 Euro and 2 Euro coins. The Brits do the same with the pound.
