Amish Selflessly Build Cabins For Hurricane Helene Victims In North Carolina

Following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, the Amish community has come forward to provide crucial assistance in North Carolina, where many families have been left without homes and without relief from the Biden-Harris regime. With federal help slow to arrive, hundreds of Amish volunteers from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, have organized to bring much-needed relief to Swannanoa residents.
Each week, a new team of 57 Amish volunteers arrives by bus to work from Monday to Friday, constructing small cabins for displaced families. When one group returns home, another takes its place, maintaining a continuous effort to support those impacted by the historic flooding. This steady presence has been a source of comfort for locals who feel the federal response has been insufficient.

The Amish volunteers live simply, setting up camp in tents and relying on donations and local resources for food. They bring their own supplies and require no assistance, asking only to be allowed to work independently. Known as “Cabins for Christ,” the project is intended to give shelter to families while they rebuild their lives.
