Healthy Pet Food. Can purchase or make and eat it yourself

Just thought I'd give the following information for pet lovers.

The food is totally healthy and even fit for humans to eat. I've tried it. Tastes good and I'm not howling at the moon.

    It is:

    HALO, PURELY FOR PETS
    1-800-426-4256
    3438 East Lake Road, #14, PMB-612
    Palm Harbor, Florida 34685 (727) 937-3376 Fax: (727) 937-3955

"Any Questions? Please feel free to call and ask for our FREE Holistic Pet Care Booklet!"

"Visit our WEB page at:" www.halopets.com

When calling and asking for their literature, also ask for their recipe. Just in case it isn't included with the literature. They send an order form as well, if you so choose to have it sent by mail.

It is a large company and I'm not sure as to where they are all located.

I have found their canned foods, treats, vita-mix, green tabs, etc., primarily in health food stores.

I have used their recipe and made batches of the food and freeze it in zip loc bags. The dogs love it. My own cooking isn't too shabby either.

I ofter this information, solely for those who want peace of mind. Since I read a long posting on here pertaining to all the food recalled, I thought perhaps others would like to know what I found, by word of mouth.

I don't feel at liberty to include the recipe at this time. Rather, if anyone is interested it is fair to ask them to send their recipe. They gladly do so.
The canned food is expensive, yes, and it is somewhat cheaper to cook it yourself.

    Good Luck

Thanks for the info...I found one dog food and one cat food online.
The cat food is Flint River
    The dog food is Merrick's

Both claim they do not use outside sources.

    Your welcome moostracks,

Just noticed on the Halo website, they are offering a free recipe. It's a little different from the one they mail with their literature for dogs and cats.

I guess we have to take precautions all the way around, with our food as well as our pets.

Most of the commercially processed pet foods are cooked at such high temperatures, that any good is processed right out. Then they add all the additives/preservatives, and who knows what they consist of? However, guess many are finding out the sad and hard way.

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I've been all over the information pertaining to the rallies in D.C.

Thank you for what you've found as well ..

    Scepter
