Arms, legs hacked with machete in violent attack Lucy Rickard

A man remains in hospital with serious leg injuries after he was attacked by a group of men armed with a machete in Kelmscott on Monday night.

Police said the man was with a friend in Merrifield Avenue when he became involved in a fight with the group about 7.40pm.

The man was hacked in his legs, hands and arms when the group set upon him with the weapon. He remains in a stable condition in Royal Perth Hospital.

Police believe the men were known to each other, but have yet to establish the motive behind the attack.

Armadale detectives are investigating and anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
