Thread: I hate to speculate.

Does any one know if this mother is an illegal immigrant?If so these eight babies would mean that she has 14 children now (14 anchor bambinos)?
And it says that the mother is young.What about that state deficit again? I read that this woman (girl) had to be hospitalized for two months prior to the delivery and had a team of 42 medical staff providing her with care.Sign them all up for obamas schip and screw all you taxpayers right?

I remember when my wife and I had our first child in December of 1981 and how they would not admit her one night when she had a temp. of 106 we only speculated that it was because we had no health insurance and they treated us like scum at the hospital.I raised hell and was able to get them to keep her,lucky for us that they did it turned out she got worse that night and they put her into intensive care.

She lives with her mother who's last name is Solman, her husband is a contractor in Iraq. Don't know why they won't release her name. Lets face it anyone who lives in the city with six kids doesn't need eight more, somethings not right..

What makes it even further screwy is that, despite having 6 children already, she was taking fertility drugs to conceive again when she came up pregnant with the 8 babies and declined the selective embryo process.

Now, anyone in their right mind KNOWS that fertility drugs almost always guarantees multiple embryos although most parents choose the selective embryo process which is why we don't see a huge number of these kinds of births.

What was it that these people were thinking?

There is something, as you say, just not right about this.

She wasn't taking fertility drugs. She had IVF and eight embryos were implanted in her last year. She showed up at Kaiser when she was 12 weeks pregnant.

I'd like to find the doctor who implanted the embryos when she already has SIX kids! He should be brought up on criminal charges. The potential for abuse is huge.

You know, I was wondering the exact same thing this morning when I was reading it. I noticed they never print her name so my guess she is foreign if not illegal!!

I agree, because I remember when I was younger and the news would have some family that gave birth to 6 or more children, they'd be all loving the media attention, getting free diapers, free baby formula, free baby clothes, I think one couple even got a mini van??...Are you telling me that in this strained time on our economy, a mother with 14 children wouldnt want all that free stuff??...Usually when people have this many children and it's a media thing, people are very excited and companies like Pampers and Huggies want to take advantage of the media attention and give them all kinds of complimentary brand name products. The fact this isnt happening with this lady seems very suspicious, I think she may very well be an illegal and the media is hiding that from people so it doesn't cause some kind of uproar. Could you imagine how many people [including myself] would be incredibly displeased and pissed off to find out theyre paying taxes for some illegal and her 14 kids?.....Obviously the news/media know who she is if they know she lives with her mother who's last name is SUPPOSEDLY "solman".

The news just reported about this story yet again, this time adding that the girl is "Fairly Young" you can read the story @ fox31.com or myfoxcolorado.com, and you know when the news says "Fairly Young" that usually isn't a good thing involving births and usually means theyre saying "teenager", I am now very very suspicious about this situation, why the heck would a "Fairly young" "girl" have 14 kids??....It also seems she isnt married, and the news also said she lives with her parents...

who the hell would want that many to begin with in these times?

I've yet to see any information that would support the assumption that the mother (or husband) are illegal aliens. Truth be told, some folks prefer to keep their personal life private. This could be a family that has chosen to steer clear of media attention. Perhaps more information on the situation will be forthcoming.

It's odd that you mention this.

I was just talking to a friend who's daughter works for CPS and her opinion (the daughter's) is that the family's name, etc. might be being kept confidential because the family is being evaluated and investigated, by the state, for fitness to provide the care, etc. 14 children....let alone newborn octuplets...will require, as well as assess the risk for potential abuse and neglect.

According to this woman, it's not an uncommon practice.
