Actually, this is something that has not been done.

We used to travel for work and I spent a lot of time watching local news whereever we were staying. If there was a description of a rapist - it might be --

white male - mid 30's - 6'1" - blond hair - blue eyes
or
black male - mid 30's - 6'1" - black hair - brown eyes
or
dark male - mid 30's - 5'7" - black hair - brown/black eyes

Never, ever, did I hear hispanic as a description.

OMG, if they do not give a description of the suspect how is the public suposed to help catch him? Or keep away from him?! This is insanity.

Here in Chicago they NEVER give any useful information about a criminal unless he is white. Otherwise the news reporters will tell you what he was wearing when he committed the crime- I am not making this up. They will say 'the suspect was wearing black pants and a blue hooded sweatshirt' like there is no possibility he could change his clothes or something. It is just a trip.

Every racial group has variations in color, this [MOD EDIT] is nutts.

This is diabolically opposite what we have been programmed to think in the cause of missing children. It is always stressed that the greatest chance of recovering the child exists in the first hours after the kidnapping. It is asinine to think that the chance for recognizing the kidnapper is not enhanced a hundred-fold by publishing his ethnicity.


It seems that it would also be an enormous help to law enforcement officers in other jurisdictions in not using their time to pursue a 6'4" blond and blue-eyed man when the suspect is a 5’4" HISPANIC with brown hair and eyes.

This is politically correctness gone amok and is a danger to public safety.

The letter took issue with the description of a man, believed responsible for five attacks on teen-aged girls since June 2006 and possibly a sixth on Thursday. He is described as Hispanic, 28 to 40, 5-feet-6, muscular, with a mustache and black hair.

Radio station 1190AM refused to use the word ``Hispanic" when it broadcast the description.

We only hope that he is caught soon and we ALL know who he is and where he came from.

This creep preys on little girls betwen the ages of 12 and 14. According to the news here ( I am on temporary duty in the desert). He has assaulted 5 little girls aready.
