Zimmerman Trial Becomes Even More of a Circus to Satisfy the Lusts of the Left
The tragedy of the Zimmerman/Martin situation goes beyond the fact that George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin, in what he says was self-defense. The tragedy is that it is becoming very clear that the federal government’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has had their hand in creating a courtroom situation that should most likely have never occurred.
For 44 days after the shooting, George Zimmerman walked free without being charged with a crime. Unfortunately, Sharpton inserted himself into the situation doing what he does best – racial arson. Sharpton loves to incite and he does so even when the facts are against him, as history has proved. Whether it was Tawana Brawley, the Duke Lacrosse situation, or something else, Sharpton has a knack for using lies to create racial disharmony. He has done so in this case as well.
Once Sharpton got involved, the facts of the Zimmerman/Martin tragedy were quickly shoved to the side, replaced with a growing circus of asinine activity designed to focus solely on the fact that Martin was black and Zimmerman became increasingly white over time. White on black murder. For the racist blacks, it really doesn’t get any better than that.
Former Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee “is adamant that the Sanford police conducted a ‘sound’ investigation after Zimmerman fatally shot unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, and there was no probable cause to arrest Zimmerman.” Apparently, members of the Sanford political community wanted an arrest. “It was (relayed) to me that they just wanted an arrest. They didn’t care if it got dismissed later…You don’t do that.” If true, it simply shows that those individuals were more concerned with appearances than justice and that still appears to be the case. Lee also noted, “it had nothing to do with Florida’s controversial ‘Stand Your Ground’ law, he said; from an investigative standpoint, it was purely a matter of self-defense.” Yet, as we know, Zimmerman was arrested and charged with the absurd 2nd Degree Murder. Lee was eventually fired.
It has recently come to the world’s attention that the DOJ funded protests against Zimmerman in Sanford, Florida. “A division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) was deployed to Sanford, Florida in 2012 to provide assistance for anti-George Zimmerman protests, including a rally headlined by activist Al Sharpton,” according to newly released documents.
“The Community Relations Service (CRS), a unit of DOJ, reported expenses related to its deployment in Sanford to help manage protests between March and April 2012, according to documents obtained by the watchdog group Judicial Watch.”
One would think this type of involvement would be questionable at best and illegal at worse. Then again, we’re talking about Eric Holder here, who, while in college, participated in an armed takeover of “a former ROTC office with the demand that it be renamed the ‘Malcolm X Lounge’.”

You have to appreciate the fact that those on the left like to make and keep society destabilized. It is how they hold their hand out with promises of hope and change. Unfortunately, their version of hope and change rarely measures up to their hype and usually makes things far worse. While they are now in the habit of saying “lean forward,” it’s clear that because they mainly focus on the past, moving forward is an impossibility. Such is the case in the way in which the left has chosen to use the Zimmerman/Martin situation. It is doing nothing but causing greater racial divide in the United States, something that the left apparently wants as badly as collapsing America’s economy.

The Zimmerman trial itself is a huge joke. Judge Debra Nelson has seemed to have taken great pains to side with the prosecution. Yesterday, she took the very questionable step of speaking directly to George Zimmerman, asking him if he was planning on testifying even over the objections of his attorney.





Moreover, this same judge has stated that if the jury is unable to find Zimmerman guilty on the original 2nd Degree Murder charge, they have her permission to find him guilty on manslaughter charges. The prosecution wants Zimmerman to be found guilty now on 3rd Degree Murder charges, which involved a felony against a “child” since Martin was 17 at the time of his death.
Since when are new charges introduced at the end of a trial?
This whole thing has Eric Holder written all over it. What did they promise/threaten Judge Nelson with unless she played ball with them? The entire scenario is – in my opinion – a complete miscarriage of justice. Zimmerman is being used as a pawn and now with the introduction of two new charges – manslaughter and 3rd Degree Murder – that the jury is able to consider, if Zimmerman is not found guilty on any of the charges, imagine what this will do to so-called race relations in America? I can hear Sharpton now.
The former Sanford Police Chief stated that his officers did a solid investigation and found absolutely no reason to hold or charge Zimmerman. Yet, he also says that the investigation was taken from them and effectively became a trial by media. Thought Prosecutor Angela Corey said that they did not charge people with crimes based on societal pressure; that’s exactly what she did. As Alan Dershowitz stated, she overshot in seeking a 2nd Degree Murder conviction. She is also guilty of withholding evidence, but as long as Eric Holder is attorney general, there is little to no fear that she will be charged with anything.
According to many, Zimmerman did nothing wrong. The police of Sanford, Florida didn’t find anything to charge Zimmerman with, so they let him go. It was purely a matter of self-defense and the police chief stated that the situation did not even enter into the arena of “Stand Your Ground.” That isn’t good enough for those on the left though, who prefer to believe that whenever a black person is shot and killed by a person of a different race, it was a racially-motivated hate crime. This is never the case when roles are reversed though. Never.
This country needs to wake up, but it may be too late for that. Our culture may have declined to the point of no return. It happened with too many “empires” before the United States. It appears to have happened with America as well.

Judicial Watch after having filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the DOJ on April 24, 2012, has obtained documents showing that Barack Obama’s Department of Justice had an active behind-the-scenes role in organizing Trayvon Martin protests against George Zimmerman.
The actions were taken by a DOJ unit called Community Relations Service.

Via Judicial Watch press release:
JW filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requested with the DOJ
on April 24, 2012; 125 pages were received on May 30, 2012. JW
administratively appealed the request on June 5, 2012, and received 222
pages more on March 6, 2013. According to the documents:

• March 25 – 27,
  2012, CRS spent $674.14 upon being “deployed to Sanford, FL, to work
  marches, demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death
  of an African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.”

• March 25 – 28,
  2012, CRS spent $1,142.84 “in Sanford, FL to work marches,
  demonstrations, and rallies related to the shooting and death of an
  African-American teen by a neighborhood watch captain.

• March 30 – April 1, 2012, CRS spent $892.55 in Sanford, FL “to provide support for protest deployment in Florida.”

• March 30 – April 1,
  2012, CRS spent an additional $751.60 in Sanford, FL “to provide
  technical assistance to the City of Sanford, event organizers, and law
  enforcement agencies for the march and rally on March 31.”

• April 3 – 12,
  2012, CRS spent $1,307.40 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical
  assistance, conciliation, and onsite mediation during demonstrations
  planned in Sanford.”

• April 11-12,
  2012, CRS spent $552.35 in Sanford, FL “to provide technical assistance
  for the preparation of possible marches and rallies related to the
  fatal shooting of a 17 year old African American male.” – expenses for
  employees to travel, eat, sleep?

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton states “These documents detail the extraordinary intervention by the Justice
Department in the pressure campaign leading to the prosecution of George
Zimmerman. My guess is that most Americans would rightly object to taxpayers paying
government employees to help organize racially-charged demonstrations.”
After seeing what the Obama administration did to stoke racial tensions before the Zimmerman trial, it gives far more credence to a piece I read this morning over at BIN, written by Doug V. Gibbs, a longtime Internet radio host, conservative political activist, writer and commentator, who headlines with “Obama Plans Nationwide Race Riots If Zimmerman Is Found Innocent.”
