    Does it also apply to corporations? Just recently the Supreme Court ruled that corporations can buy any election by allowing them to spend any amount of money. But they aren't subversives, right? Since corporations aren't people I guess it wouldn't apply to them.

    Everybody and his brother will attack this bill. I doubt this bill will be around for long enough to be enforced.

    (1) "Subversive organization" means every corporation, society, association, camp, group, bund, political party, assembly, body or organization, composed of two or more persons, which directly or indirectly advocates, advises, teaches or practices the duty, necessity or propriety of controlling, conducting, seizing or overthrowing the government of the United States, of this State or of any political subdivision thereof by force or violence or other unlawful means;

    First this section is too broad in scope and is open to various interpretations: Example: "teaches or practices the duty, necessity or propriety of controlling, conducting," since most political parties aims are to control or conduct US government policies this section makes no sense and would mean that political parties are subversive in nature.

    Does this mean that the South Carolina State Government should be adding their names to the list? They are obviously overthrowing the Constitution of the united States, and the state Constitution of South Carolina aren't they? So lets all go down there and throw them in the clink first, and suck out their bank accounts as an example.

    The two key terms are "controling and conducting" which in effect nullify or invalidate the bill since they are seperate statements or terms in the bill and are not part or parcel to the following line "seizing or overthrowing the government of the United States". This was written very poorly and is ambiguous at best.

    It does seem as if a case could be made against corporations, especially those who hire lobbying firms to influence government, along with the lobbying firms themselves, as well as advocacy/special interest groups.
