    Was It A Blue Wave?

There's a debate going on about whether the loss so far of Congressional seats by Republicans in the mid-term elections was a Blue Wave or a Blue Current or some other kind of Blue Something or Other.

As of today, Republicans lost 39 seats, and it will probably be 40 seats after the last district in California is finalized, in the US House of Representatives.

As of today, Republicans lost those seats by 9 million votes nationwide, 3 times the 2.9 million votes Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by in the 2016 election.

59 million people voted for Democrats in the 2018 mid-terms.

50 million people voted for Republicans in the 2018 mid-terms.

In 2016, 62 million people voted for Republican Donald Trump for President in the General Election.

In 2016, 65 million people voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton for President in the General Election.

So 7 million Hillary voters stayed home and didn't vote in the mid-terms.

And 12 million Trump voters stayed home and didn't vote in the mid-terms.

If all 12 million Trump voters who stayed home had voted Republican in the mid-terms, we would have saved the US House of Representatives and probably elected a 60 seat Republican majority in the US Senate.

So why do Republicans do this? Do they not understand that to win in politics you have to win elections? Do they not understand that it's a perpetual process, it's never over, it's a constant game, an incessant requirement to stand by your candidates and representatives, to do the simple thing of showing up to vote for them?

Unless you win elections, you lose your ability to fix our country. This Trump and Republican-led legislative session was one of the most productive and important sessions of accomplishment in many many years. Republicans passed bills with the help of this President that the country and Congress have been trying to pass for over 40 years. The outstanding work of this 115th Congress along with the amazing achievements of this President on matters of his own, make this 2 year Republican period one of the most notably positive and beneficial two years in American history.

I don't understand why all Republicans and Trump Voters didn't understand how crucial and needed their votes were on November 7, 2018.

It won't change what Trump does as President on matters within his purview and powers, but it will certainly change what he could have done with the many legislative changes he wanted and felt were needed to really fix our country, especially in the area of immigration which is so important to getting jobs back for Americans at higher wages with more benefits and reducing public spending on people and families who aren't even supposed to be in our country to begin with.

So, was it a Blue Wave? Yes, it sure was. There was some illegal voting in there, but there weren't 9 million illegal votes. It was the unfortunate decision by 12 million Trump Voters to stay home or for some even vote Democrat in the House races for one reason or another.

To me, that was most unfortunate either way.
