Portland man calls 9-1-1 to get into club

PORTLAND - He wanted to dance -- and it was an emergency!

Last Friday night, 43-year-old Edgar Dieguez-Lopez did what anyone would do in an emergency -- call 9-1-1.

He was having a crisis. The Caribe nightclub on Southwest Canyon Road in Portland was not letting him in.

The dispatcher spent several minutes with him -- even bringing in a Spanish translator:

He called 9-1-1 because he said, "I cannot get inside."

Police responded to his call and arrested the man for Improper Use Of 9-1-1 -- and possession of drugs.

He wanted to dance -- and it was an emergency!

I've had moments like that myself, but I never called 911. You would think the cities that allow illegal immigration, would get tired of paying for things like this. They are afraid of the ACLU, yet they don't mind getting nickeled and dimed with foolishness like this everyday. Go figure.
