13 alleged hit men arrested

Mexican federal police arrested 13 alleged members of a hit squad in a raid Monday on a warehouse in the village of Guadalupe, across the border from Tornillo, federal authorities said Friday.
The 11 men and two women face organized-crime, drug and weapons charges and are accused of being members of a criminal group reputedly run by Oscar Alonso Candelaria Escajeda, alias "La Gata." Police seized two rifles, three handguns, 1,584 pounds of marijuana, two vehicles and four communication radios.

Those arrested were Evelia Rodriguez De Santiago, Maria Luisa Herrera Escajeda, Jesus Manuel Gonzalez Lomas, Jose Marquez Herrera, Ricardo Arredondo Nevarez, Jesus Gallardo Palos, Calixto Ficachi Ortiz, Valentin Lopez Sigala, Marcial Ortiz Perez, Jesus Chavira Reyes, Jorge Humberto Mireles Preciado, Luis Carlos Hernandez Gonzalez and Juan Pablo Flores Rodriguez.
