Prefer a McCain amnesty or a Obama amnesty?

So, do you prefer a Mccain Amnesty or a Obama amnesty since one of them will be the new president! (Sorry, I respect your decision to vote for Nadar, Baldwin, Barr, my deceased grandmothers but they have no chance. It is a reality)

I regret that immigration has not been an issue in this debate. Maybe it will come up in tonight's debate? Therefore, how would a Obama/Democrat amnesty look like and how would a Republican/McCcain amnesty look like? Which candidate would allow illegals to bring in more relatives when they become citizens? Maybe one party would even allow relatives in BEFORE they become citizens just when they become residents? Which candidate might increase the border patrol or decrease it?

One of these guys is gonna get it and that is reality and fact. Since House Republicans are the ones who defeated amnesty do you think Obama or McCain might craft an amnesty with their help meaning at least you might get more control on the border? It is not just about immigrants but drugs. Who supports Plan Colombia Obama or McCain since the drugs start in Colombia, Bolivia and Peru.

We cannot say for sure since Bush turned out to be such a failure but I sense Mccain would be more open to liberal socialist Obama and his friends Chavez in Venezuela in Correa in Ecuador. Correa went to a college in Illinois and I wonder if he and Obama met?

So, these are the realities. What amnesty might finally stop the illegal part of it like Reagan's amnesty of 88 has not?

    prefer none

Prefer none and we should accept none.

It's our own fault if we get one too. We should be out in the streets by the millions by now.

Amnesty has a better chance of passing with McCain, it is his #1 priority. Obama has other higher priority issues he wants to attack first, plus Republicans in Congress are likely to stop an Obama amnesty while they might not stop a McCain amnesty. Baldwin does not have to win for us to get our point across, he just has to get enough votes to make the Republicans realize they were stupid and lost because McCain supported amnesty.

Like William said, stop wasting your time on the Presidential race and concentrate on Congress.

    Disagree.

How will Republicans in Congress stop an amnesty, if a lot of them get replaced by Democrats? We can only hope that they will be Blue Dogs or that Republican candidates can buck the national trend. Blue Dogs will get slapped around by Mistress Pelosi so we will have to bring extra heat on them from our side. Work for pro-enforcement candidates in the Congessional races. It's the best shot.

Some Republicans will be replaced by Democrats, some Democrats will get replaced by Republicans, I don't think the makeup of Congress will change much. As a result the American Immigration Lawyers Association think amnesty would pass easier under McCain than Obama, McCain would make it a higher priority and have the support of more Republicans than Obama would. Both of them would have about the same level of Democratic support.
