Wendy’s: Intolerant of Free Speech in Support of Chick-Fil-A

    wendys

Across the nation yesterday, Chick-fil-A stores were filled to capacity with patrons supporting the restaurant chain’s freedom of speech. In an interesting twist, the Wendy’s chain also got in on the action. An owner of more than 85 Wendy’s franchises in North Carolina, decided to show his support for Chick-fil-A with the following note on his stores’ signs: “We Stand with Chick-fil-A.” Wendy’s corporate offices were not amused.

The North Carolina owner, Jim Furmen, was apparently told by Wendy’s corporate stiffs to take down the sign and then went into defensive mode to deflect what they perceived to be negative publicity. Wendy’s corporate tweeted: “An independent franchisee posted the sign, which he’s taken down. We proudly serve ALL customers!” Kind of makes you wonder what “independent” means to Wendy’s corporate offices.

Wendy’s initial tweet set off a flurry of responses on Twitter, most of which were aimed at their statement about serving “all.” It was quickly pointed out that up until last week, Chick-fil-A was never known as being a restaurant that DID NOT “proudly serve all customers.” In fact, I can say without fear of contradiction that no customer who braved the crowds and long wait times at Chick-fil-A yesterday were asked by any company employee if they were for or against gay marriage. Chick-fil-A will “proudly serve” anyone who wants a chicken sandwich, regardless of personal beliefs or convictions, Wendy’s electronic protests to the contrary notwithstanding.

While the gay agenda-setters tried to spin the Chick-fil-A situation as being about marriage, the real issue is one of free speech and expression. Many supporters who came out yesterday were not necessarily expressing their views on traditional marriage, but on whether a company president has the right to speak his mind publicly and to answer questions from the media honestly. By forcing “independent franchisee” Jim Furmen to remove his signs, Wendy’s has shown that they will NOT tolerate the freedom of speech at their restaurants. They say they will “proudly serve ALL customers,” yet they will not allow their store owners to have the constitutional right to free speech. Who’s the bigot now?

What’s more is that Wendy’s may have stepped in it far more than they realize. As was already pointed out, the support for Chick-fil-A was not univocal. Many were supporting Chick-fil-A as a private entity over against a government one. Their presence and money were sending the message that political correctness can take a hike when it comes to private enterprise. By publicly isolating and distancing themselves from Chick-fil-A, Wendy’s has sent a message much louder than their intended message of “inclusiveness and tolerance.” Their intolerance to be counted among the Chick-fil-A supporters could very well affect Wendy’s economic bottom line. The overwhelming amount of eaters who waited patiently to spend money at Chick-fil-A yesterday are just as prone to not spend money at Wendy’s as they are to spend money at Chick-fil-A.

Further, if the long lines and open wallets are any indication of what America really thinks, the Democratic party could be in for a long campaign season. It has been said that time and money are the only two limited resources. If one is willing to work harder and more often (i.e. sacrificing time), more money can be made, which means that, in reality, time is the only true limited resource. We each have the same amount of it (unlike money) and we each choose how we will spend it. Since so many chose to spend their time and money yesterday in long lines at a fast-food restaurant, this should be an indication—rather than useless political polls and questionnaires—about what Americans really think. This should (but won’t) be a warning to the Democratic party, who have overwhelmingly chained themselves to supporting the gay agenda. Americans, when given the chance to “vote” with their time and wallets, have spoken. Is anyone listening?

The Sleeping Giant Awakens and Stands on Line for Chick-fil-A

Rahm Emanuel and Thomas Menino, mayors of Chicago and Boston, made this political. And now the people of this country, I’m gonna tell you, you’re looking at a microcosm of what’s gonna happen on November 6th. You’re looking at a microcosm of the Tea Party. You are seeing that great silent majority, or the sleeping giant that our first caller talked about. We have these commercials we do for FreedomWorks, people want to do more than vote. They want to get involved. They want to let everybody know how they feel and in what numbers they exist, and this is the latest opportunity they’ve got, and they are utilizing it. Literally e-mails out the wazoo today talking about quarter mile long lines. My cousin Andy in St. Louis sent me a picture of a Chick-fil-A in Des Peres, outside St. Louis, of jammed parking lots, traffic jams, people waiting. Other stories about Chick-fil-A someplace ran out of breakfast at nine o’clock and immediately started serving lunch.

Now, meanwhile, in Chicago you got the mayor there, Rahm Emanuel, talking about, “Well, they don’t represent Chicago values.” And a guy in Boston essentially saying the same thing. And Ted Cruz, who was supposedly down by 13 points, coming back and winning huge. Tea Party candidate, in Texas last night, sending a message of generational change to the Republican establishment. Big Tea Party candidate. Sarah Palin endorsed. There is an explosion waiting to happen in this country. People are fed up, and this is a sign.

Chicago GOP Files Complaint over Anti-Chick-fil-A Alderman

Wednesday morning the Chicago Republican Party held a press conference to discuss a discrimination and human rights complaint it filed with the Illinois Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, against Chicago 1st Ward Alderman Proco “Joe” Moreno.

The complaint is in response to Alderman Moreno’s recent Chicago Tribune editorial in which he outlined his intent to discriminate against a local resident who is applying to open a Chick-fil-A restaurant in his ward. Moreno writes that he will not approve a zoning permit for the resident businessman due to Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy’s personal religious view that marriage is a between a man and a woman.

The Chicago GOP complaint cites three laws from the Illinois Criminal Statute that Moreno has allegedly violated and encourages Madigan’s office to take up an investigation and bring charges against Alderman Moreno.

Following the press conference, members of the Chicago GOP -- led by Chairman Adam Robinson, Vice Chairman Chris Cleveland, and Illinois 4th Congressional Candidate Hector Concepcion (challenger to Luis Gutierez) -- walked across the street to the deliver the complaint to Attorney General Madigan’s office in the Thompson Center.

Once inside the Thompson Center, the group of Republicans, along with the press, was stopped by security and delayed from continuing up to Attorney General Lisa Madigan’s office. After several minutes, Madigan’s Communications Director, Natalie Bauer, attempted to keep the group from proceeding upstairs, telling the group she would deliver the complaint for them.

Only after 11th Ward Committeeman Carl Segvich asked Bauer if they were simply not allowed to visit their state’s Attorney General’s office, Bauer replied, “no,” then proceeded then to allow them to deliver the letter in person.

Breitbart News confirmed with Robinson and Cleveland that the Chicago GOP group successfully delivered the complaint to Attorney General Madigan’s administrative staff. When asked how Robinson felt the Attorney General would handle the complaint, he told Breitbart News, “I hope she will do her job, but my expectations are very, very low.”

AG Madigan's communications personnel confirmed with Breitbart News that “we are reviewing the complaint, and we have no additional details right now.”

The same day, conservatives across the country celebrated National Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day, turning out in droves to support the restaurant chain. Despite Alderman Moreno and Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s claim that the fast food chain doesn’t represent “Chicago values,” there was a line out the door and around the corner to get into the only Chick-fil-A that exists in downtown Chicago.

Chick-Fil-A Meets The Real Haters With Love

chick-fil-a_t470So yesterday there was barely a peep from the “protesters” who barely showed up. While there were some who protested Chick-Fil-A for their pro-marriage stand based upon the Bible, for the most part it was relatively quiet, which makes the point that these people are 1) a very small minority, 2) don’t really have the core convictions they claim, like those who showed up on Wednesday, and 3) they are simply incapable of dealing with the issue in a mature way.

Carly McGehee, a Dallas political activist came up with the idea to have a “kiss-in” protest at Chick-Fil-A. I mean I’m sure it took a lot of thought to come up with that. While her Facebook page began all the hoop-la, and more than 15,000 people said they would attend (which is about the amount of people that showed up at one Charlotte, NC Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday), the people that did attend were completely caught off guard.

Decatur, GA actually saw a whopping “more than 20″ protestors. Homosexuality is not popular, nor is it normal. The organizer of the “non-event,” Marci Alt, 48, of Atlanta even invited the president of Chick-Fil-A to her house for dinner. Cathy has not replied, nor do I really expect him to do so.

Two young ladies weren’t attending the event. Bria Kam and Chrissy Chambers from Atlanta wrote a song about why they were no longer going to eat the chicken sandwiches and waffle fries they love, and performed it in a YouTube video. Again, they simply demonstrated their own hypocrisy in the video, showing their hatred. I’m willing to guess though that these ladies probably don’t have the fortitude to actually stay away from those tasty chicken sandwiches and yummy lemonade for long. Once all the brew-ha-ha is over, they’ll be spending money like before. After all, Chick-Fil-A’s values have been in existence long before they were born. By the way for Bria and Chrissy, you sing “can’t have it anymore.” Actually you can. No one is stopping you. It’s your choice to not eat at Chick-Fil_A, just like it’s your choice whether you want to engage a woman or a man in sexual intimacy.

We have heard the name calling in the media and we have heard how “hateful” Chick-Fil-A is, but what we have witnessed, not only in the past two weeks, but specifically on Friday simply shuts the mouths of those who are proclaiming lies and demonstrated who the real haters are. So what was Chick-Fil-A’s response to these individuals maligning them, slandering them, distorting the facts and basically thumbing their noses at the franchise? Love. That’s what Chick-Fil-A showed. They showed those that hate them love.

From left, Chick-fil-A employee Chug Shafe offers lemonade to Jennifer McNulty and her husband Jesse outside the Decatur, Ga., Chick-fil-A restaurant earlier today. Gay rights activists are planning demonstrations at Chick-fil-A restaurants to protest the fast-food chain owners’ opposition to same-sex unions

A Chick-Fil-A employee tries to hand out lemonade during a nationwide “kiss-in” and protest at a Chick-Fil-A restaurant Friday in Decatur, Ga.

A Chick-fil-A employee hands out water at a “Chick-fil-A Is Anti-Gay!” protest Wednesday in Hollywood. Other outlets were mobbed as patrons showed their support for the chain.

That’s right, Chick-Fil-A didn’t back into a corner and talk about the people outside and fume at them or make derogatory statement. They went out and met them, were friendly to them and sought to serve them.

What is ironic is the fact that many held up signs that said “Jesus ate fish” as though that had anything to do with it and “Hate is not a family value.” Now this last one is, as I said, ironic. The hatred promoted by the members of the homosexual hate group who were involved in this protest should probably consider the values they are passing on to others. After all, Ms. Alt, the organizer, has two small children. What is she actually teaching them? She’s teaching them that people cannot have an opposing view without being labeled as haters and being treated as such, which the other side not only disagrees with her, but humbly seeks to serve those like her in love.

Tell me, if your kids grow up do you want them to behave as sexual deviants and on top of that bring their sexual deviancy out of the closet instead of clean it or would you prefer to see them become fine upstanding citizens who though they disagree with others seek to do the right thing?

I know which one I prefer. Again, kudos to Chick-Fil-A for the display of love, morals and conviction in the midst of hatred and demonizing. May you always honor the God of the Scriptures and the Lord Jesus Christ.

UPDATE: Many of you asked how you might express support for Rachel, the young woman in AZ who had hate expressed towards her by the now jobless Adam Smith. Well a website has been established for people to show their support of Rachel and she may just appear on Fox News as well. Here’s the link.

We stopped by CFA to find these flowers given by a customer to Rachel. They were anonymously given. Thank you for your kindness and support.

UPDATE 2: Adam Smith, the man that berated Rachel at the Chick-Fil-A, made an apology video of sorts. While he does apologize to Rachel, which seems genuine and honest, but he continues on with his rant against Chick-Fil-A. What the problem is in the video is he fails to see the ‘destructive nature of the homosexual community’ and the hatred that they clearly show. He continues to put forth a lie that homosexuals rights are under attack. The problem is that he is promoting special rights for homosexuals. They already possess the same rights as everyone else.

‘Chick-Fil-A’ Didn’t Chicken Out and Neither Should We

    Chicken Out

“Guilty as charged,” was the statement recently made by Chick-Fil-A owner, Dan Cathy, when asked about his company’s support of traditional family values. Cathy’s stance has ruffled more than a few feathers and the cuddly cow has now been stamped as one bad egg. The Leftist brood is squawking the usual cries of hate, bigotry, and homophobia. A Bostonian mayor has now infamously stated that he won’t let the company nest anywhere near his city, so long as he reigns. One “gay rights” group has hatched a mass “kiss-in” idea at local restaurants, in an apparent gay PDA showdown. It seems gay pride activists shouting typical accusations of homophobia (“You’re just chicken!”) is supposed to really show Cathy who rules the roost. (Note: Don’t mess with their pecking order.)

Like chickens with their heads cut off, the media is flapping about in an attempt to subdue and bully the only company willing to stick its neck out for faith and family values. Yes, walking on eggshells is the name of the game these days, what with Oreo creating the ever diverse rainbow cookie, it seems even food should be tolerant and diverse in social issues.

Unfortunately for liberals it looks as though Cathy won’t be chickening out anytime soon, further stating:

“We are very much supportive of the family – the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”

Rather than taking Cathy’s statement viewed as a personal set of values with overtones of gratitude, leftists are outraged, crying “Fowl!” It is possible that much to the chagrin those who support “diversity and tolerance” (wink) one projection is that sales will shoot through the hen-house with all of the publicity and free marketing. Funny, Chick-Fil-A has had plenty of chicks to count even without a sunrise on Sundays.

And seriously, who doesn’t want a chicken sandwich, waffle fries and a down-home sweet tea after a good hen-pecking?!

What has flown the coop is any rational idea of freedom of speech and freedom to practice religion of one’s choosing. It takes a bird brain to go on a vicious and personal counter attack to one merely civilly expressing his freedom of belief. When it comes to diversity and tolerance, many on the left proudly display the egg on their face. Give them a solid, Bible believing person of faith, they set up the ring and strut around like a banty rooster, waiting for the cock-fight to ensue. (Sorry, PETA.)

For now, it seems it’s sunny side up for the “Eat more chicken” folks at Chick-Fil-A.

When it comes to standing up for faith, family, and values, that truly is something to crow about….

    Rowdy Cluckers: The Chick-fil-A Rebellion

    By Doug Giles / 6 August 2012 / 4 Comments

Well, the anti-Chick-fil-A thing sort of backfired, now didn’t it? Yep, the rabid gay crowd thought they were going to shut CFA down, but instead their fascist demands that Chick-fil-A’s Presidente Dan Cathy repent of his free speech actually catapulted the fast food chain into record profits. Cha-ching!

I have one word for that homo faux pas of trying to stifle a private company’s free speech, it’s: Ahahaha. Boy, you guys really read the pulse of the American people … Not.

Now, I will give the onerous gay activists this: Aside from the huge boom in ammo sales since Obama was elected, their boycott of Chick-fil-A actually spurred the first definitive economic stimulus of the Obama era. Muchas gracias.

Look, I knew this anti-free speech/chicken sandwich protest was going to go south when frickin’ Rahm Emanuel and Edwin Mah Lee got out in front of it. They represent America about as much as I represent PETA. I kept waiting for Mugatu from Zoolander to pop out and join them by slaughtering live chickens in a Foghorn Leghorn outfit while dancing to “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” in front of some Chippendale boys. But, alas! It didn’t happen. Who can I sue?

If there’s one thing I know about Americans it’s that they love Chick-fil-A and free speech. I guess that would be two things. And Americans peacefully showing up in the hundreds of thousands last Wednesday to Chick-fil-A restaurants from sea to shining sea showed anyone with a lick of sense that Americans are not quite ready to bow and kiss the ring of a special interest group that wants to mitigate other people’s rights to freedom of expression just because they don’t kowtow to theirs.

Which brings me to this query: What’s up with this BS that we’ve got to agree with someone’s view of gay sex before we can buy or sell chicken sandwiches? When did that edict get passed? We’re damn close to making Seinfeld’s Soup Nazi look like the most rosy, easygoing consommé ladler around.

And finally, how come the gay activists got their national dander up over Chick-fil-A’s exec not being down with Brad and Chad getting engaged, yet I haven’t heard them say diddly squat about their intentions to stage a national “Kiss In” at any American mosque or give the hundreds of black pastors who vehemently oppose gay marriage the same crap they’ve been giving Chick-fil-A. What’s the matter? You’re not scared to take them on, are you? You’re not chicken, are you?

I think this past August 1st is a foretaste of what’s coming this November 6th. It’s all about freedom for all, baby, and you dudes don’t get it. But Americans do. And they showed up in droves and waited in hot lines for hours to demonstrate they will not be bullied.

Chick-fil-A sandwiches contain MSG, HFCS and anti-foaming chemicals; eating them is a sin in the eyes of God

(NaturalNews) This article is sure to get me in trouble with everybody, but I just had to cringe yesterday when I heard news reports of people lining up at Chick-fil-A restaurants all across the country to protest the attack on the restaurant's CEO by the LGBT community (and same-sex marriage advocates). (2012 Presidential Election | OTUS News - ABC News...)

To stage an anti-boycott in support of Chick-fil-A, defenders of traditional Christian values and straight marriage lined up all across America to eat -- huh? -- monosodium glutamate!

Yep, there's nothing like a little MSG to kick those gay visions right out of your brain, it seems. But that's not all: According to Chick-fil-A's own menu posted on their website, their classic chicken sandwiches are made with all the following chemicals and ingredients: (http://www.chick-fil-a.com/Food/Menu...hicken-Sandwic...)

    • monosodium glutamate (twice!)
    • soybean oil
    • sodium aluminum phosphate
    • dimethylpolysiloxane (an anti-foaming chemical)
    • high fructose corn syrup
    • ammonium sulfate
    • soy lecithin
    • sodium benzoate
    • polysorbate 80
    • yellow 5
    • blue 1
    • potassium sorbate
    • TBHQ

Oh yes, and somewhere in all this, you'll find some chicken, too. Given that MSG is a chemical which promotes neurological damage (source: Dr. Russell Blaylock), you seriously have to wonder if some people who eat at Chick-fil-A on a regular basis are, technically, suffering the brain-damaging effects of regular MSG consumption. For the record, by the way, KFC's menu is absolutely loaded with MSG, too.

    Anti-foaming chemical no extra charge!
The dimethylpolysiloxane used by Chick-fil-A is perhaps best known as the chemical found in Chicken McNuggets. As reported here on NaturalNews: (Anti-foaming agent found in Chicken McNuggets)

Dimethylpolysiloxane, a type of silicone, is used in caulks and sealants, as a filler for breast implants, and as key ingredient in Silly Putty. Says Wikipedia:

"PDMS is also used as a component in silicone grease and other silicone based lubricants, as well as in defoaming agents, mold release agents, damping fluids, heat transfer fluids, polishes, cosmetics, hair conditioners and other applications. PDMS has also been used as a filler fluid in breast implants, although this practice has decreased somewhat, due to safety concerns. PDMS is used variously in the cosmetic and consumer product industry as well. For example, PDMS can be used in the treatment of head lice..." (Polydimethylsiloxane - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Yum! The more dimethylpolysiloxane I eat, the more heterosexual I feel almost instantly!

Why this anti-boycott smacks of total stupidity
For the life of me, I can't figure out who is losing worse in this bewildering battle of total stupidity involving fast food and gay marriage.

First, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel announces he's a total mafia goon by declaring that Chick-fil-A has no right to free speech and that he's going to launch an economic war against Chick-fil-A restaurants. This is total gangster mafia nonsense from a complete criminal-minded tyrant who in no way actually represents the values of the LGBT community.

So then the Christian community decides to launch a counter-offensive -- masterminded by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee -- and they announce Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day which is repeated all across the internet and national radio. Take that!

Countless thousands of customers then line up all across the country to support Chick-fil-A's free speech rights, thinking, "Yeah, we're bad asses! We're gonna show those gay marriage people that we're powerful, too!"

And then, astoundingly, they all buy chicken sandwiches laced with MSG and made with anti-foaming chemicals and genetically modified soybean oil! (Chick-fil-A sandwiches are not organic, and they're not labeled non-GMO. Most soybean oil comes from genetically modified soybeans.)

So please help me figure this out here: WHO IS THE BIGGER RETARD IN ALL THIS?

    • Is it the idiotic reptilian Emanuel who threatens economic sanctions against businesses that don't cower down to his personal gay marriage agenda?

    • Is it the Chick-for-brains stooges who eat MSG and anti-foaming chemicals and somehow believe they will win by poisoning themselves with processed fast food? (Seriously, how is this a moral victory?)

Somebody please help me sort this out, because from my perspective as a tolerant, libertarian, heterosexual nutritional health advocate with Christian values I feel totally left out in all this. Hey, where's MY protest at a smoothie bar somewhere? I guess we'll have to create some sort of grand controversy just to stage a giant smoothie march or something...

Poisoning your body with MSG is a violation of Christian values
Listen up, Christians. I hate to break this news to ya, but eating chemically-laced fast food is a VIOLATION of GOD's will The Bible teaches that your body is your temple. If you poison your body with chemicals, you act in violation of God's will and the teachings of the Bible. Yeah, it's true.

    Genesis 1:29
And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food."

God did NOT say, "Eat a processed, fast food chicken sandwich made with MSG and anti-foaming chemicals!"

    Corinthians 3:16
"Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple."

By consuming MSG sandwiches at fast food restaurants, you actually join the ranks of those you accuse of living in sin! So if you line up at a fast food restaurant serving MSG, and you point the finger at gay people and say, "THEY are living in sin!" then you're technically a hypocrite.

I dare say, fix your own diet first before you condemn other people of living in sin. And I say this as a person who agrees with most Christian values, by the way. I believe in God, I believe in moral philosophy and I personally choose traditional family values. But I also believe in living with authenticity, honoring your physical and spiritual self, and acting with complete congruence in what you speak.

Unlike most Americans, I treat my body like a temple, which is why I would never line up at Chick-fil-A and poison my flesh with MSG. Anyone who does that is acting in violation of core Christian values, which is what makes this anti-boycott so incredibly ridiculous. In fact, anyone who actually claims to follow the teachings of Christ and then goes out and poisons their body with excesses of gluttony, alcohol, tobacco, psychiatric medications and chemical consumption is living a sinful lie and will probably go straight to Hell. The whole point of the drug industry, the processed food industry and the chemical products industry is to trick you into poisoning yourself and violating your own sacred temple, seducing you into the Satanic agenda of self destruction.

If you think eating Chick-fil-A is a pathway to Heaven, you have been insidiously misled. You want real nutrition that's congruent with the teachings of Christianity? Buy supplements from Garden of Life or Living Fuel. Both of those companies are led by nutritional champions who espouse Christian values and don't consume junk food. If you call yourself a Christian and you don't practice good nutrition, all the prayer in the world won't save you from cancer, diabetes, heart disease and Alzheimer's. God helps those who help themselves, and before you lash out at anyone else over their actions or their beliefs, you need to get the junk ingredients, GMOs, chemicals and medications out of your own body (and brain) first.

Now, with all that said, the cowardly attack on Chick-fil-A's free speech was absolutely disgraceful. So here's my take on the free speech side of this:

I may hate Chick-fil-A's menu, but I respect their CEO exercising his free speech
When Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said "Chick-Fil-A's values are not Chicago values" and threatened to block the restaurant's expansion in Chicago, he probably had no idea his message of intolerance was about to royally backfire. The masses of people lining up in support of Chick-fil-A -- and even willing to eat MSG! -- clearly showed the attempted attack on the restaurant failed miserably.

In fomenting all this, Emanuel the lizard man actually handed Chick-Fil-A millions of dollars in priceless publicity, boosting its business and making its name a household word. Thanks a lot, Emanuel, for causing yet more Americans to eat fast food! Don't we have enough diabetes already?

And for the record, just so that everybody who reads this article attacks me for the right reasons, I'm a heterosexual libertarian who believes in the Bill of Rights and individual liberty. As far as I'm concerned, you can eat what you want, sleep with who you want, say what you want, buy what you want, marry who you want, and basically do anything you want as long as it doesn't hurt anybody else. While I personally follow a more Christian philosophy in my own life, I don't belligerently demand everybody else live the same way I do (or, heck, we'd run out of cacao and avocados in no time!).

As I've written before, a philosophy of freedom demands tolerance (The philosophy of freedom: Much more than demanding government get out of our lives, you must first get the tyranny out of your own heart). In that article, I wrote:

The thing about freedom is that if you demand freedom for yourself, you must also tolerate it for others. Freedom means freedom for all, including those with which you disagree, as long as they aren't harming others in the process. Freedom can't be selective.

But there's a bigger issue in all this. To explain, allow me to paint a vivid scene for you:

Just to confuse the crap out of everybody, I'm going to carry my Bible into Starbucks and order a rainbow latte. Then I'm going over to Chick-fil-A wearing a pair of tight sparkly spandex pants but also a concealed weapon in order to exercise my Second Amendment rights. Then I'm gonna pick up a bullhorn and publicly declare, "It's not about GAY versus STRAIGHT; it's about the global corporate controllers versus us all!" and see if there's a single intelligent person in the crowd who is actually awake enough to grasp that.

    The Chick-fil-A distraction
The entire Chick-fil-A fiasco, you see, is a total distraction to keep your hearts and minds occupied while the banksters steal your future. While you're debating the merits of chicken sandwiches versus gay marriage, you are being depopulated with GMOs, chemtrails, vaccines and medications. Your money is being eroded by the Federal Reserve. Your rights are being stripped away by Bush, Obama and whichever globalist puppet occupies the White House next. And believe me, the global controllers don't give a hoot whether you're gay or straight. You're all getting raped, Sandusky-style, regardless of your sexual orientation.

You are all being enslaved, day by day, hour by hour, into a system of total mind control through television programming, subliminal messaging, fabricated news broadcasts and chemical poisoning. You're being inundated with fluoride, radiation, medical imaging scans and food additives. You're being programmed to behave like a robot; to emotionally respond like a five-year-old; to react in a pre-planned manner engineered by the agenda-setters.

You are being lied to about the power of your vote in the upcoming election (all the important choices are already made for you). You are being taught to live INSIDE the box while thinking you're so hip, trendy and cool that you must be outside the box. You're told you can change the world but then you're shoved into a system of runaway consumerism that traps you in a cycle of financial dependence from which you can never escape to accomplish much of anything that really matters.

You are being spoon fed this story on Chick-fil-A (and everything else) precisely because the newsmakers don't want you to have a spare moment to think about the REAL stories that matter: Vaccines are laced with stealth cancer viruses. Statin drugs cause dementia. Virtually all foods are mineral deficient. Vitamin D halts cancer. Consciousness grants you free will. You are a conscious being with unfathomable power if you would only awaken from your slumber.

While you and your neighbor bicker about Chick-fil-A, you're all being equally raked over the coals by the system, get it?

Wake up, people. Stop eating MSG and processed food chemicals. Snap out of your hypnosis and see the real world for a change. Get off those psych meds! You are a conscious, powerful being with the gift of free will. You have the power to change the world. And not by eating a stupid chicken sandwich, either. You're far more valuable than that if you'd only stop allowing yourself to be a willing pawn of the global controllers.

Get the poison out of your body. Detox. Eat superfoods. Get your brain back. And then fight for liberty. Rage against the system. I don't care if you're straight, gay, bi, tri, trans, drag, sex change, tried-it-once, "experimented in college" or whatever. Clear your head and fight for liberty. Our collective future is being crushed by the corporate-government fascist system. Time is running out for food freedom, farm freedom, free speech, internet freedom, medical freedom our Bill of Rights and much more. We don't have time to mess around with chicken sandwich distractions and moronic anti-boycotts that serve up food poisons like some sort of weird Jim Jones final chapter.

Practice authenticity. Tolerance. Liberty. Compassion. Nutrition. Clear-headed thinking. Truth-telling. Humility. Gratitude. Ethical behavior. Spirituality. Prayer. Meditation. Gardening. Creativity. Innovation. Progress. You were granted life by a Creator. You honor that by making your life one worth living.

The Beautiful Backlash From Chick-fil-A Bashing

August 10, 2012 by Chip Wood

    The Chick-fil-A boycott didn't work.

What a mistake the gay and lesbian agitators made when they decided to attack Chick-fil-A and its outspoken president, Dan Cathy!

It was a mistake that several prominent politicians promptly compounded, with some of the most absurd threats ever uttered by a city official.

It was also an incredible blown opportunity for the Republicans’ candidate for President. Sorry, Mitt, but you got some lousy advice on this one.

The whole kerfuffle began when Dan Cathy, the son of Chick-fil-A founder Truet Cathy, said he was “guilty as charged” for supporting “the biblical definition of the family unit.”

Had he stopped there, I doubt anyone would have paid much attention to his remarks. After all, the Cathy family has been known for years for its Christian beliefs. The company has always put faith ahead of profits, refusing to let any of its more than 1,600 outlets open on Sunday.

No, it was a different Dan Cathy comment that gave his detractors apoplexy: “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage.’”

The left went absolutely ballistic. Gay rights groups called for a nationwide boycott of the business. The Jim Henson Company said it would no longer supply toys or other merchandise to the chain.

Politicians couldn’t wait to join the parade. Boston Mayor Thomas Menino said that “you can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population.” He warned that the company would find it very difficult to get city licenses.

San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee tweeted: “Closest #ChickFilA to San Francisco is 40 miles away & I strongly recommend that they not try to come any closer.”

In New York, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn wrote a letter to the president of New York University asking him to boot the fast-food outlet off campus. She also started a petition demanding Cathy apologize and change his stance on gay marriage.

In Chicago, where bare-knuckle bruising is a normal part of the political process, Chicago Alderman Joe Moreno said he would do whatever it takes to prevent the chain from opening an outlet in his community. And Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel piously declared: “Chick-fil-A values are not Chicago values.”

What a bunch of bullpucky. What colossal egotism Emanuel must have to think he can speak for the values of everyone in Chicago. No wonder he was such a good fit with his old boss back in the White House.

Let me point out that the media have not been able to find a single Chick-fil-A outlet in the country that has ever denied service to anyone because of his sexual orientation. If the mainstream media had been able to find even one example of such discrimination, don’t you think it would have made screaming headlines in the press and led every TV news show?

Where do these politicos get off, threatening a popular and well-respected business just because its president said something they didn’t like? Have they never heard of freedom of speech? Somebody better give them a copy of the U.S. Constitution.

The story probably would have ended there had it not been for Mike Huckabee, the former Republican Presidential candidate and FOX News host. He wrote on his website: “I have been incensed at the vitriolic assaults on the Chick fil-A company… It’s a great American story that is being smeared by vicious hate speech and intolerant bigotry from the left.”

Huckabee declared Aug. 1 as “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.” He urged people to visit a nearby outlet to show their support for the chain and its embattled president.

And, boy, did they! The Rev. Billy Graham issued a strong statement of support for Truett and Dan Cathy and promised to “Eat Mor Chikin” on that Wednesday. Several million people did so as well. In many places, the lines stretched for blocks as customers waited for an hour or more to get their order filled.

In Texas, Senate candidate Ted Cruz celebrated his come-from-behind victory in the Republican primary by serving Chick-fil-A sandwiches at his victory party. Sarah Palin, who had flown to Texas to speak at a Ted Cruz rally, tweeted a photograph of her visit to a local Chick-fil-A outlet. And on it went.

By the time Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day came to an end, the chain had sold more chicken sandwiches and waffle fries than on any day in its history.

Sad to say, there was one prominent Republican who was conspicuous by his silence on the issue. Mitt Romney told reporters that he did not intend to say anything about the controversy. He would not endorse Dan Cathy’s support for the traditional definition of marriage. And he would not criticize the big-city politicians who threatened to punish the Chick-fil-A restaurant chain.

“Those are not things that are part of my campaign,” Romney said. Campaign officials promptly “clarified” the candidate’s remarks, explaining that while Romney favors the traditional definition of marriage, he wants to keep the focus of his campaign strictly on the economy.

Bad call, Mitt. You missed a great chance to gain the support of a huge segment of voters who aren’t convinced you’re one of them. I’m referring here to the so-called “values” conservatives, the men and women of faith who believe social issues are incredibly important.

Granted, Romney’s gaffe here won’t cause any of them to vote for Barack Obama this November. But it will certainly dampen the enthusiasm of what could be one of the hardest-working groups of political activists in the country.

Namby-pambiness won’t win this election, Mr. Romney. Heck, it won’t even counter all the Democrats’ lies and smears.

It’s time for an ardent defense of our country’s values — and a little bit of righteous indignation at the assaults on them.
