Thread: Hit & Run of elderly man in CT

Has anyone else been able to find anything more on this man, his condition and if they found the people responsible for this? Also heard if any action will be take against bystanders who stood and did nothing or drove by without stopping?

I had never been so appalled, after watching that video, at our condition in this nation towards human suffering.

All those people on the sidewalk......the vehicles that drove by.......it is sickening...............

ANGEL, maybe you could clarify what you are saying and/or asking with this response.

We as proponents of a truly free democratic society, ( yea Republicans too), (Democratic=ruled by the people), I have seen for the last 25 years a lot of harping on what the problems are, and very few answers, and no answers from the the politic in general.
I have seen scenes like that on a daily basis in the past until I was able to leave metro areas, but it's out here in the tulies too,, a friend lost his life about a month ago down in the desert, thrown on the side of a road, and left til dead, christian, contractor, attended church(and really believed), etc...and we have islam, buhdism, and all other religions dictating our actions, yet they are the real culprits!
Can we as US citizens afford to unite and be able to fight these internal problems our current ancestors have thrust upon us, YES, whether you can toss a buck or time, this particular site is a good one and has been here for awhile, has my vote.

PS: We all know people that are worthless, kinda like a SLINKY, Not worth a shit but we can't help but smile when we push them down the stairs.

To be honest, I have not seen an act such as this one on a daily basis, and this was appalling to witness, even on the news. More so because of the people who drove by and also just stood by.

My reason for asking my fellow ALIPACer's if they had heard more about it is human concern about this elederly man who was brutally hit and left.

I am sorry for your friend, and the worst part about such events is it seems the best in this country are the ones taken in such ways.

As for what we are all doing about this particular event, we are not "bitching", we are discussing this as there is truly nothing we can do about it. What we do come here to do is to think, express ideas about what we can do, share in activist responsibilities and to encourage others to do so also (making calls to federal and state officials and such), and we also post human interest stories such as this one, and discuss our hopes and share sometimes, in prayer, for the people affected by the sad events.

You will see a lot of human interest stories posted here, as many of us see this a whole issue, that although many of these stories are not pertaining to illegal immigration (why we post them in this area "Other Topic News and Issues"), they are about our human condition and about the condition of our nation (what this story represents to so many people is the lack of concern for each other and the all over apathy).
