How warm and fuzzy do you feel now? Now we all can feel just how painful it is to be part of the village.

For those who follow politics, you might know the name of the openly gay and very liberal Congressman from Massachusetts (Taxachusetts), Barney Frank. Some of you might not be familiar with him. By late Monday, you better know him and remember him.

Well, for years, Frank has pushed for some of the most liberal policies to be considered in Congress. It might also shock you that he is now the chairman of the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee.

Here is what Frank said on the opening day of Congress in 2007: “We can't continue to have economic growth that is concentrated in the hands of a few. In America we are becoming more and more unequal. Some inequality is necessary for a capitalist system but we've gone way beyond that, and the average working person, we're talking 80% of the population has seen an erosion in his or her economic position rather than advance.

Specifically, I hope to deal in part with the housing crisis, by the way. The committee that I'll be chairing that has jurisdiction over housing and we hope very much to do an increase in the housing stock, so housing becomes affordable both for low-income people but also for people in the moderate income range.â€
