I support Glass-Steagall and think they should restore it. It was repealed without adequate debate, examination or purpose. Whether its repeal had something to do with the failures of our economy, it's hard to say, but it definitely led to international global banking bets that should have never taken place by ordinary banks using American bank deposits. If savvy investors want to play that game and take that risk, then they're free to do so with their own money, but not with Americans bank deposits they can't afford to lose or even put at risk of losing, which is why they're in the bank to begin with earning no return worth mentioning, instead of in stocks and bonds with High Flying Bad Dealing Wall Street.
