"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."

*********
Last year, Obama was one of the earliest people who called for the firing of
talk host Imus, after Imus made racial remarks about the Rutgers
women's basketball team that had many black players.

See the quote above.

Obama did not ask the public to forgive Imus.

He did not come to Imus' defense and ask the public to give Imus
a second chance.

No, he came out quickly and called for Imus to be fired.

Obama said that if one of his staff made remarks about an ethnic group
like talk host Imus did, he would not be working for him.

Of course, we now know that Obama's pastor---the one with the hate-filled speech against the United States and white people---was advising him personally and, I believe, he was also a member of Obama's religious advisory staff during the Rutger's basketball team incident.

We also know that Obama did not remove the pastor from the religious advisory staff until the public and the media recentlyput tremendous pressure on Obama to do so.

So, it seems to me that Obama has two standards or attitudes when it comes to firing people: One standard for those who work for him or who advise him, and another standard for the rest of us.

Obama wants me to vote for him to be President, but with each passing day, I just can't seem to believe what he tells me. mirse
