I am here in the midst of the San Diego firestorm and wondering when and where the fire may hit next. My GF lives right in the path of the fire but has not been ordered to evacuate yet, so we are looking to the local TV news stations for information. On one station KNSD, they have a woman giving out information in Spanish every half hour or so, saying how it is so unfair to non-English speakers that none of the news stations are giving out info for people who don't know English. Gee, do you think that this is just one of a million reasons that people who CHOOSE to live in this country might take the friggin' time to learn the language, instead of demanding that we spend precious air time on English language stations to inform them in Spanish. We have masses of people who live here who speak other languages, Filipino, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, you name it, but only the Spanish speakers are being catered to because they refuse to learn English.

I guess that's why they call San Diego, Mexico's Finest City.
