Humana "called out" by the Obama Administration

Humana "called out" by the Obama Administration

    Sept. 23, 2009 7:00 a.m.

Chicago thug politics are alive and well in the Obama White House. In an effort to squelch any and all opposition to Obama's attempts to take over the entire health care system, the Health and Human Services Department is targeting Humana. Humana, one of the largest major health insurance providers, is geared mostly towards senior citizens via the Medicare Advantage program. Humana recently made the big mistake of putting out a mailer stating that many seniors could lose important benefits under the health care reform bills being proposed by Obama and the Democrats. This went against the grain with Obama & Co., and Humana was "called out!"

The Humana flyer went out on a limb and boldly pointed out one of the many of the Obama lies regarding health care. They specifically targeted the whopper saying that "seniors will not lose benefits and government-run health care will actually strengthen Medicare."

Humana explained that under Obamacare, Medicaid and Medicare spending would be cut by up to $500 billion over a ten year period. Humana said that if the proposed funding cut levels become law, millions of seniors and disabled individuals could lose many of the important benefits and services that make Medicare Advantage so valuable Those pushing Obamacare counter that expanded health care coverage would somehow increase efficiency and not reduce benefits. Does that make ANY sense? How does a government go about increasing health care coverage to every American, while increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and not cutting any benefits? Has there ever been a government program that runs efficiently? Doesn't lose money? Provides excellent service? So exactly how a government take-over of healthcare would suddenly solve everyone's problems is questionable. Americans have yet to be told in specific terms how this would happen. President Obama cannot explain it. He just continues to repeat the same talking points regarding health care over and over: that we need it! we need it now! it's a crisis! , and anyone who disagrees is wrong and will be "called out!" And let's just ignore the troubling details within the proposed legislation....since Obama and many others haven't even read the bills!

And if you don't think Obama is lying, watch the following:

(Hey, who is going to "call out" Obama? The mainstream media won't - they don't want to criticize or question their Dear Leader! At least Rep. Joe Wilson had the guts to tell the truth - he called someone who was lying a liar! And looks like more people at Tea Parties and health care Town Halls are speaking out, too!)

The government claimed that the Humana flyer was "misleading and confusing" and ordered Humana to stop the mailings, which the company did. The government is also considering taking other action against Humana. Wonder what type of action that could be? Isn't it rather frightening that the government is telling a private business what to do? Guess not, since the government has already taken over banks and the auto industry, even going so far as to fire executives....and yet some people say we are NOT on the road to socialism???

Lesson learned, Humana!....be careful about what you say concerning the government plans to take over health care. Big Brother IS watching... This story ought to put everyone on notice. Our government is seeking out companies and people who don't agree with their plans - and threatening them. Chicago thug style politics. Why even pretend to be surprised?

Since when did the U.S.-- or any democratic --government attain the power to "order" a private company or ciizen to withdraw public expression of a political opinion? This is frightening!

I received the letter and flyer because I'm a personal representative for a disabled person and help them with their health care. There is nothing misleading or confusing in the letter or flyer.
