I will catch hell from the mercantilists on here but I think this situation needs to change. I would defund the big property holders in this article in favor of having America produce more of its vegetables closer to our population centers and replace some with imports from Mexico. U.S. Agriculture should not expect to depend on subsidies on this scale.
