CALIFORNIA IS ON FIRE : AGAIN ......... Part 2

I got the day off again.

No way to get to San Diego.

14 people on my ship had to evacuate from their houses, and two of them had their houses burn down.

I was supposed to leave for a three week trip, but that is now in jeopardy.

    R/ Skip

    750 homes destroyed or damaged

Swirling winds create a fire funnel as a Rancho Santa Fe home burns. The Witch Creek fire still burning already has left a grim toll: 500 homes destroyed and 250 damaged; 100 commercial buildings destroyed and 75 damaged; 50 outbuildings destroyed and 50 more damaged. I understand California is taking National Guard off the border to help with the fires. This is one more reason they should not be sent to Iraq.
