CCRKBA applauds Walsh legislation to withhold U.N. funding

BELLEVUE, WA – The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today applauded Illinois Congressman Joe Walsh’s introduction of legislation to withhold funding from the United Nations and assuring that the United States does not adopt any treaty posing a threat to national sovereignty or that abridges the firearms rights of American citizens as guaranteed by the Second Amendment.

Rep. Walsh’s bill, developed with the cooperation and assistance of CCRKBA staff, would block U.N. funding unless the President certifies that the world body “has not taken any action to restrict, attempt to restrict, or otherwise adversely infringe upon the rights of individuals…to keep and bear arms, or abridge any of the other constitutionally protected rightsâ€

I am proud to live in Joe Walsh's district. He's our version of Chris Christie - doesn't care if he's re-elected, says exactly what he wants to say (PC or not) and is passionate about our great country. He starts his townhall meetings with the Pledge of Allegiance.

Unfortunately, the President most likely supports the UN over the U.S. The chances of this bill ever becoming law is zero to none.
