America Doesn't Sign The UN Gun Treaty,
Our Guns Are Safe For Now!

On the morning of July 27 came the long awaited decision whether or not the U.S would sign the UN Arms Trade Treaty. I waited anxiously at the United Nations in New York until I received some great news that the treaty had not been signed. The United States and several other countries would not support the United Nations treaty saying they needed more time to review it.

I would like to thank each and every Second Amendment protector who fought with us by putting pressure on the U.S Senate who then made it clear to President Obama it would not pass in a Senate vote.

I think the grassroots surge by American gun owners against this treaty convinced our government to not sign this document. The proposed treaty, as written, poses serious problems for our gun rights, and the sovereignty of our Second Amendment. This is freedom in action, we are gratified that so many did so much to protect their Second Amendment rights from an international gun rights grab.

The thought surrounding the decision is the U.S wanted to delay a vote going to the Senate for another six months. This conveniently would be after the 2012 election when Obama would have nothing to lose. That of course is assuming Obama would be re-elected which we have no intention of happening. Hopefully they do bring the issue back up in six months and future President Mitt Romney can stomp it out for good.

There comes even more good news following this decision not to sign the treaty. Along with gun nuts like ourselves opposing Obama for his actions steering grabbers toward our gun safes; gun control advocates have expressed major disappoint in the President for not signing the treaty so now he has pro-gun as well as gun grabbers against him.

Daryl Kimball, the director of the Arms Control Association said, "We are extremely disappointed about this outcome, in large part due to the failure of leadership by President Obama."

Dan Gross the president of the Brady Campaign said, "The president said very similar things in his last campaign. A speech is not a plan. An endorsement of a measure is not a solution."

The liberals are on to his tactics as well showing an extreme lack of confidence in their current President. They know he is all shell and no substance, a walking bumper sticker that will say anything to get him re-elected. This does not necessarily mean more votes for Mitt Romney but it certainly shows they do not approve of Obama.
