KY Sen Poll: Paul +12 In GOP Primary
Posted by Kyle Trygstad

Rand Paul is out to a 12-point lead in the Kentucky Senate Republican Primary, a new Kentucky Poll finds. Paul leads establishment-backed Secretary of State Trey Grayson, who just received an endorsement from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

Meanwhile, Paul just got the backing of South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, who has been endorsing Senate candidates across the country that don't have the backing of the national party.

Paul 44
Grayson 32

Martin 3

That would mean that Jim DeMint's candidates:

1. Marlin Stutzman - lost but closed in on GOP candidate GOP backed Coats, collected 39 percent of the vote, with nearly all precincts reporting. State Sen. Marlin Stutzman was second with 30 percent, and former Rep. John Hostetter was third with 22 percent. .

2. Rand Paul - primary vote on May 18th - DeMint backed Paul looks to win.
3. Chuck DeVore - primary in June - closing in on Fiorna
4. Pat Toomey - PA primary - DeMint backed currently Toomey is expected to win over Spector
5. Ken Buck - CO - Currently ahead of all Dem's in polls. If polling continues this direction DeMint backed Buck should win Senate seat.
6. Marco Rubio - still ahead in most polls and I anticipate DeMint backed Rubio to win Senate seat.
7. Michael Williams - http://www.williamsfortexas.com/issues - Polls show him beating both Dem's currently. We need to support him. He is a great American!

So DeMint's Conservative fund picked 7 candidates running for the US Senate and
so far one has come within 9 points of a seasoned well known GOP candidate,
4 Look to win their primaries and Senate Contests (but we still need to support them all the way!),
2 need our support big time so they can pull out all of the stops and get the nomination come primary time (TX and CA).

I would say if DeMint can get 4 out of 7 elected and possibly 5 or 6 at least elected to be the GOP candidate via the primaries - this would be a great feat for Conservatives.

Most of the DeMint candidates were lesser known and considered "underdogs" from the get go.

Some like Rubio in Fl and Williams in TX and even DeVore in Ca are up against tough Republican "insiders" (Crist, Hutchinson, Campbell).

We need to show that we CAN make a difference in the next few weeks and get behind these candidates big time.
