Before I get started about the CFR you should know which of the 2008 candidates, and potential candidates, are current members of this organization. You will notice that they are from both the Democrat Party and the Republican Party, men and women.

Ron Paul is one of the few candidates who are not members of the CFR.

The Council on Foreign Relations, or CFR, was founded in 1921 and has long been thought of as some mysterious organization whose positions and agendas are shrouded in secrecy. Their official policy states:

“…the Council on Foreign Relations is an independent, national membership organization and a nonpartisan center for scholars dedicated to producing and disseminating ideas so that individual and corporate members, as well as policymakers, journalists, students, and interested citizens in the United States and other countries, can better understand the world and the foreign policy choices facing the United States and other governments….â€
