Libya - Psy-Ops And War Games

Libya - Psy-Ops And War Games

    By Susan Lindauer
    8-17-11

Here's breaking News from a confidential source inside Tripoli. And it's nothing like what CNN is broadcasting... Pay attention to live reports from Zawia.

First, today the power went out in all of Tripoli today. As a gift to the Muslim community for their 17th day of Ramadan, NATO bombed a power plant and six high voltage sub stations. Apparently they believed the Libyans would have no ability to repair this, and so, in their "humanitarian effort to protect civilians," they tried to cut power to 2 million innocent people during the holy month of Ramadan and the hottest month of the year in this desert country.

Well, NATO sorely underestimated these resilient people. They had the power back in 6 hours! You know, there is NO fighting in Tripoli, never has been, no fighting on the outskirts never has been. So, NATO has been continually bombing a peaceful city, destroying the infrastructure, killing and constantly terrorizing civilians.

Second, the media outside is trying to win this war by completely flipping the truth upside down. Ghadafi is stronger than ever. Today, people gathered in two areas of Tripoli where people said NATO was planning on bombing. Hundreds of thousands of people waving green flags, chanted (Allah, Muammar, Libya, Wah bes) (God and Muammar makes Libya complete). Dancing and daring NATO to come and hit them.

These people are so pissed at NATO that they would all lay down their lives before they let "The NATO" win as they say. A young woman from the Foreign Minister's office named Sana spoke with us tonight. She said the people are so used to NATO now that they are beginning to name their worthless pets after NATO.

Sana said that the Western news media is showing old pictures of Zawia in an attempt to show bunches of rebels there. So a few people went and waved a green flag at the over pass that the media was showing on the news. And guess what? The group was never on camera, because it was not a live shot.

She also told us that the Libyans are now in complete solidarity behind the legitimate government and Ghadafi. She said all the Libyan people have offered to have Ghadafi come and sleep at their homes, he should switch homes every night, all Libyans are prepared to die for Ghadafi. She said, Ghadafi should run for president in the US, because the US is so divided and people are so disgusted with their government there. The unity of Libya behind Ghadafi is unmatched for any leader world wide, she thinks the American people need someone to unite them, not to divide them.

Spoke with the Electronic army, they say there are small pockets of rebels they liken to gangs in Misurata and the Libyan army is the middle of the city cleaning them out. Most of them are running away.

Dr Moussa Ibrahim stated yesterday that Oil Companies of the aggressor nations are trying frantically to open avenues of communication with any and every minister trying to garner favor and regain their once lucrative contracts. You won't see that in the Western news, even though this release was given to all the journalists here in Tripoli.

    That is all for now.

Falsified Major Media Reports On Libya

    By Stephen Lendman
    8-16-11

Major media specialize in what they do best: truth inversion (aka bad fiction), not doing what journalists are supposed to do - their job, especially covering imperial wars for dominance and rich spoils.

With Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) falling apart and rebel forces in disarray, today's headlines belie the truth, reported by independent "un-in-bed-with" journalists and other sources.

On August 16, Lizzie Phelan's Libya diary "clear(ed) up the latest media rubbish on Libya," saying:

Gaddafi forces liberated the "hitherto rebel-held" town of Misrata. "Last night, the Libyan army moved into the center of the city, and now the rebels are trapped between Misrata and Tawergha."

About three-fourths of the city, including its port, is secured, "which was a lifeline" for shipping rebels arms and other supplies.

At a press conference attended by around 200 tribes (including the four largest comprising half the population), Libya's media spokesman, Dr. Moussa Ibrahim, confirmed it.

Th major four, including Wafalla, Tarhouna, Zlitan and Washafana, all support Gaddafi.

"The tribal leaders also confirmed that Zawiya and Sorman are secure, in contrast to (falsified) claims by (in bed with) foreign reporters in Tripoli and Djerba (Tunisia) that they have been taken by the rebels."

In addition, claims that rebels control Ghuriyan are untrue. Ongoing clashes there continue.

Major media reports lie, although pockets of rebel resistance remain. Nonetheless, they're "isolated and surrounded by the Libyan army and tribes."

Falsified major media reports stand in stark contrast to "Libyan tribes who, of course, know their land with great intimacy."

It's clear media bosses want Libyans demoralized to think all is lost so give up. In addition, NATO's "been desperately trying to secure some victory before August 17 (Ramadan's 17th day), a very important date in the Islamic calendar.

On Ramadan's 17th day in 624 AD in the Islamic calendar, the Prophet Muhammad won an important Battle of Badr victory in present day Saudi Arabia. It was a key turning point against his opponents.

Fast-forwarding to today, major media sources falsify reports "to create confusion and panic on the ground."

In an August 15 telephone address to supporters massed in Green Square, Gaddafi "reasserted his calls for the Libyan people to remain steadfast in defeating NATO's allies on the ground and NATO itself."

Phelan also said unconfirmed reports say rebel commander Khalifa Hefter was captured, the former army officer turned CIA asset, having formerly lived near its Langley, VA headquarters since the early 1990s.

If true, it'll will create more disarray among TNC leaders, perhaps better described as the gang that can't shoot or get their stories straight.

"So the media war goes on," said Phelan, on the ground in Tripoli, reporting important truths on her Lizzie's Liberation site, accessed through the following link:

    http://lizziesliberation.wordpress.com/

    Contrasting Falsified Major Media Reports

The vulgarity of lying needs no comment. Doing it for a living is beyond reproach. It doesn't deter takers, however, like New York Times writers David Kirkpatrick and Kareem Fahim headlining, "A Top Libyan Official Appears to Defect, as Rebels Defend Recent Gains," saying:

Interior Minister Nassr al-Mabrouk "landed in Cairo in a private plane with nine family members who were traveling on tourist visas....The defection would signal a new crack in the Qaddafi government...."

    Fact check:

Al-Mabrouk didn't defect as widely reported. He left for an operation in Cairo, saying he stands firmly with Gaddafi. It's unsurprising he'd want family members with him for support.

Kirkpatrick and Fahim continued saying, "(R)ebels, emboldened by their gains in recent days, are losing incentive to make concessions."

    Fact check:

Falsified rebel gains are, in fact, unreported losses and disarray. Moreover, without NATO air support, they'd have been routed months ago. Air cover also gave NATO a chance to slaughter and injure thousands of Libyan civilians, as well as cause horrific mass destruction, related to imperial, not military, aims.

Both Times writers also reported rebel claims of having Tripoli surrounded as well as key supply lines cut off. None of it is true, but fact-checking isn't part of Times writers' job description - just reporting accounts ordered by their bosses.

From Tripoli, independent journalist/Middle East/Central Asian analyst Mahdi Nazemroaya explained in a morning email:

"The insurgency was defeated in Misurata. NATO responded with massive bombing. One route is controlled. Zawiya and Sorman have not fallen. There have been attacks on the route. They are trying to cut the supply routes off" but haven't succeeded.

On August 15, Washington Post writer Leila Fadel was no better than other accounts headlining, "Gaddafi isolated as rebels advance, aide flies to Cairo," falsifying the same agitprop as their Times counterparts, claiming rebels have "a stranglehold on the Libyan capital, Tripoli."

London Guardian writers are also complicit, headlining the following August 15 and 16 stories, better described as media lies:

August 15: "Libya's interior minister flies to Egypt in apparent defection"

August 15: "Libyan rebels enter oil town where decisive battle may yet be fought"

Fact check: Zawiya was referred to, securely controlled by Gaddafi's forces.

August 15: "No stalemate in Libya - the writing is on the wall for Gaddafi"

August 16: "Libya shows signs of slipping from Muammar Gaddafi's grasp"

August 16: "Live Syria, Libya and Middle East unrest - live updates," many, in fact, falsified like others.

Al Zajeera is also complicit in misreporting on Libya. On August 16, it headlined, "Libyan rebels push to isolate Tripoli," sounding more like CNN, Fox News, and The New York Times than legitimate journalists.

The report repeated the same misinformation about isolating Tripoli, controlling most of Zawiya, and other distortions.

An earlier August 12 report claimed "Fleeing Libyans say Gaddafi regime crumbling" as rebels advance toward the capital. Again untrue.

Al Jazeera, of course, is based in, funded by, and controlled by Qatar, a coalition NATO partner against Libya, its armed forces supporting rebels on the ground.

As a result, it reports lack credibility and should be avoided. Angry Arab editor As'ad AbuKhalil says they're "like watching MSNBC after being purchased by Murdoch."

Of course, it's worthless under its current owner, Comcast, and previous one, General Electric, especially on issues of war and peace, as well as lawless US imperialism.

    A Final Comment

The battle for Libya continues. Overwhelming numbers support Gaddafi and want their country free from imperial control. They're also prepared to fight for it, knowing the unacceptable alternative - colonization, pillaging, loss of freedom, and perhaps their lives.

What better reasons to resist than those!

Gaddafi's Libyan Army Retakes Key Towns

By Susan Lindauer and Joanne Moriarty
    8-16-11

Is Gadhaffi losing? Au contraire. In total contradiction to the propaganda push on CNN, sources inside Libya say Gadhaffi soldiers have retaken a number of key towns.

In a surprise announcement, sources inside Libya say that most of Misurata has been taken back by Libyan forces last night and today. In the process, Gadhaffi soldiers have liberated 1250+ Libyan prisoners of war. According to tribal leaders, Libyan forces now control the port city.

Tribal leaders also declare that Zawia, Garyan, Sorman, and Sabratha are secure, in contrast to claims by foreign reporters in Tripoli and Djerba (Tunisia) that they have been seized by rebels. There are pockets of rebels in all of these areas, but they are isolated and surrounded by the Libyan army. Tribal families are fighting with Gadhaffi's army to defeat the Rebels.

Whereas Gadhaffi had made an offer to slow down fighting during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, in a semi-cease fire, in fact Gadhaffi's soldiers are fighting in full force. The Libyan army is fully motivated, and sources inside Tripoli say there is also an "electronic army of young people, who are computer experts." They are mobilizing to track Rebel communications and positions, in a parallel competition with U.S. high tech surveillance from the sea.

Sources in Tripoli have thrown into question the defection of Nassr al-Mabrouk, the Deputy Interior Minister appeared alive and well on Libyan TV today. He apparently
went to Egypt for some surgery. In the interview, he reaffirmed his loyalty to Ghadafi. Claims of his defection are being compared to phony U.S./NATO claims of the assassination of Gadhaffi's son last week.

There's much talk that Khalifa Hefter was captured by Libyan forces. This would be a
big blow to the rebels and the TNC in the light of the death of Younis (rebel lead commander) who was killed by rebels working for al Qaeda. Khalifa Hefter was working as a CIA agent for some 20 years in Virginia, before the War started. The U.S. dropped him into Libya to help lead the TNC and direct mercenaries on the ground.

Claims by CNN to the contrary, sources inside Libya insist that NATO is not winning and will not win. They say the Libyan people have shown tremendous solidarity, ironically instigated by NATO.

    First We End The Slaughter

    By Jim Kirwan
    8-16-11

Millions are 'concerned about the Economy, the Stock Markets, their jobs, their retirement, their healthcare. I bring you NEWS! Until you decide to end the mass-murder of other people by this country; not just the billions we have killed from even before this country was formed-but in particular the millions upon millions that we are still killing each every day right now: Everything will only get worse!

What kind of a nation chooses to follow leaders that stand for global-crime, global-bloodshed and global empire over every other people on the planet (we have officially declared WAR upon the entire world) and that fact must be changed. If this is not done soon then everything else will be torn apart right before our eyes; and the survivors shall become nameless faceless slaves.

This is part of a response I just received today: This is just a note in response to Big Brother 2.0. (1)

"Well it wasn't long after the ink dried on Euro Crises, first in Greece then it turned hot in France and England and today's news was quite bad for Germany

NO GROWTH, stopped in its tracks by all this debt, meltdowns and general increasing lack of faith in these corrupt systems, and Euro is among the more benign ones! ALL others will be heading down it looks like, as even today, stocks failed to rally back enough and it may falter on any more bad news. Bad News? Just about anything from anywhere,

Its all going downhill worldwide, sliding into the vortex, as the world reaches 7 Billion People you can hear the frustration and hate from world leaders, too many people they don't want and of course eco minions chime right in on que, people are meat; meat is murder and of course we are all just a virus to eco freaks who know all about
everything, except who their leaders are and where the funding for such drivel comes from.

Sorry to digress, but it's the Economy now forefront on everyone's mind, worry is increasing, No solutions in sight, because well they don't want any! It's supposed to go down, easy money on the south side of Chicago. The South side, where trillions are just sitting ducks for Wall Street banksters, Easy pickings, you can see the harvest coming closer each day. It's SOOOO RIPE FOR PLUCKING! People seem to know about the cops, been that way for decades, and they are used to such brutality.

    k) You just proved my case: Nothing is going to stop going savagely down until we end the leadership roles that have been aggressively occupying this government and the nation since 2001.

You just want to scream but no one hears the cries of those in jail or even outside in our wonderful open air prison camp known as California, where to me the barbwire fences along freeways give a clue as to the police state you are entering. Where once barbwire meant cattle country, it now means freeways; access restricted, and also tightly restricted National Forests now! Barbwire everywhere up there!

More wire than a FEMA Camp! And it's all a TOW-AWAY zone to boot! So anyway, it seems to be going faster each day, headed right for some rendezvous with our destiny and it seems almost no way to get prepared to deal with it! The Ranch seems perpetually unable to deliver any productivity, just endless work and rattlers. I can see production, but it's always just out of reach.

Like a mirage, like there will be water if we just keep digging??? CA is a dry hole, water is cutback, (thank Cheney for this one; he's been privatizing water while he drains the aquifers all over this country) No new projects on the boards, eco's have seen to that. So it's just another day at the Purgatory Ranch, always half-way always half-assed, always.

A day late and a dollar short... Plus sitting atop the San Andreas Fault gives extra feeling of doom and California's day is coming as entire
Pacific Rim is hot to go except for West Coast of USA, Eerily quiet. . ."

This is only one letter but there have been many, many more. The point is always the same which is
"of course there are problems with the cops and the politics, but hey I've got to care about ______ first."

What is apparently still unclear to most of America is that NOTHING CAN OR WILL CHANGE UNTIL WE DEAL DIRECTLY WITH THE CRIMINALS THAT ARE CALLING ALL THE SHOTS, AND END THEIR FILTHY CAREERS, FOREVER. Otherwise we shall all become fodder for the vultures that are symbolized above.

This is the legacy that was left to the America Public by an overabundance of COMPARTMENTALIZATION, "Need to Know" and an overarching National Security State that threatens everyone who challenges them with prison or worse.

So until we deal directly with these arrogant global-criminals and the thugs that do their bidding in the streets every day, it will be literally impossible to save anything that is currently on the privatized government's chopping-blocks. Why oh why can so many people simply FAIL to understand this glaring fact! No Outlaw will ever willingly give up his or her ill-gotten gains, or the false-flags of the power they currently wield-the only way we can end this is to take back our power from them and prosecute every single one of them, eventually!

Take a look at this meticulous breakdown of what was really behind the London riots and try to understand just how virtually hopeless that situation has become: BECAUSE JUST LIKE AMERICA THEY TOO HAVE FAILED TO DIRECTLY CONFRONT THEIR ENEMY'S. (2)

This country was once filled with men and women that would fight rather than just lie down and take what's going on now. But what is living here now are not those people from another age. There are just too many craven cowards among us now that must be forced to choose before the wrath of the public snaps and brings this whole house of blood-soaked cards down on all our heads. It all begins by saying NO!

Heavy Fighting In Misrata - Zawia Said Free Of Rebels

    By JoAnne Moriarty
    8-16-11

Here is the latest update from our resources inside the fighting, the young men on the front lines who are in constant contact with the fighters and the leaders who are freeing Libya from the oppression of NATO and the NATO troops on the ground.

In the last few days, the Libyan soldiers managed to free around 1250 prisoners who had been locked up by the Rebels, these people are now free. The rebels went into Zawia but not into the center because they know that the Libyan soldiers are there, there was a lot of fighting / shooting between the soldiers and the rebels. The Libyan soldiers won, killed many of the rebels and the rest of them ran away. That is the Zawia story and Zawia is free now and in control of the legitimate Libyan government. As of now there are Libyan soldiers inside of Misurata and there is a lot of fighting, it is reported that the rebels are desperate and using everything available to fight to the extent of putting young teens (16,17 & 18 year olds) into the battle. The word is that these rebels are soon to lose everything, they are in the middle of their death dance. There are many expected victories in the near future.

    A Cry For Justice

The sovereign country of Libya remains under siege by NATO having stepped up their illegal bombing of civilians, home, schools, clinics, businesses, hospitals, roads, cars, agriculture, food warehouses, TV stations, and on and on. This all being done during the holy month of Ramadan. They have no shame, they are protected by the western news media who is taken to bombed sites and showed dead pieces of bodies. They never put out the story only asking where was the military weapons kept? How do we know NATO did this? I guess the Libyan army who had no ability to put a feather in the air since the second day of the so called "no fly zone" has somehow managed to "throw" an 8000 pound bomb in the air and drop them on family homes. This is the most blatant manipulation of the truth and fully compliant with the wanton killing of innocent civilians daily in Libya.

One must ask, what is the agenda of NATO, France, UK, US, Italy, Qatar et.al, that they would kill and maim innocent civilians, destroy hundreds of billions of dollars of civilian infrastructure, blow up thousands of acres of agriculture, attempt to stop all legal resources(fuel, food, medicine) from coming into the western part of Libya to the point of blatant piracy. All of these activities are "war crimes", have nothing do to with the protection of civilians, have nothing to do with democracy but has everything to do with the aggressive takeover of a sovereign nation.
Tripoli, where there has NEVER been any fighting ever, has no soldiers threatening people, has no blood in the streets, has no tanks in the streets Â* life goes on as regular here Â* EXCEPT for the daily dropping of bombs by NATO on the peaceful city. Regardless of the constant terror reigned down upon these innocent people, they remain stronger than ever behind the legitimate government in Libya.

NATO has effectively turned approximately 60% support for Col. Ghadafi before this war, to 90%+ support for him now. The Libyans are the most resilient race of people in the world. As NATO drops bombs they shout with their fists in the air "Allah, Muammar, Libya wa bas! Meaning all we need is God and Muammar for Libya and we are complete.

In Tripoli, people are strong and everyone that you speak with, in the streets, hotels, shops, etc., all are confident that Libya will win this battle with the rebels, who they refer to as "rats".

They ALL know who the head of the TNC is.

They all know the corruption that surrounded this man when he was in the Libyan government.

They all know that the black ops of the USA, UK, and Israel are here on the ground helping the "paid" fighters of the East. They all know that the West tells lies every day.

They all know that there are foreign troops on the ground fighting with the rebels.

They all know that there is an illegal airport set up in the West near Tunis to fly (in a no fly zone) weapons and soldiers to the fighting areas in the west.

They all know that Qatar, US, and France are supplying weapons (illegally) to the rebels.

They all know that NATO is actively fighting as lead support from the air for these rebels.

They all know there are captured foreign troops here in Libya.

They all know that foreign troops fired on and killed innocent members of tribes that took to the streets in Benghazi armed only with sticks and flags.

They all know that there are many hired mercenaries from Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Yemen, Afghanistan, all paid by the number of Libyans they kill and burn.

They all know that the innocent people in Benghazi are suffering with little food, no money, gangs of thieves in the streets and complete fear of being killed for saying anything wrong, they all know, the most important point of all, that this war would be over in a few days if NATO went away because there is NO support for the rebels in this country, the only support that these rebels have are the paid mercenaries that are being brought in and paid for by NATO.

The Western media continues to spread the lies that the West of Libya is on its last legs, they continue to spread lies hoping that by saying it, it will come true. The most recent outlay of lies stated that the rebels are 30 miles from Tripoli and they now control Zawia (attempted but failed again by the rebels), Garyan (people thought that there were rebels coming and left their homes but it was the Libyan troops and they are returning home) and some other cities. It is stated that Ghadafi is losing his following and the "regime" is falling. Â* In their dreams.

I am hoping to have videos soon from some of these situations. I don't know how to get past the outside lies and to show the world the atrocities and war crimes committed daily by NATO. I would never have believed that any such acts would be accepted in the 21st century.

This is not about democracy, this is not about protecting civilians, this is not happening for any legitimate reason. The rape, murder and pillage of this country is being allowed by all the so called "safe keepers" of the world. This is the biggest lie of all.

Where are the eyes and ears of the world? Mine are here in Tripoli, Libya.

Where is heart of the world?

Mine is here in Tripoli, Libya

China Reporting Libyan Army Has Retaken Misrata

Libyan gov't forces claim victory in Misrata

    English.news.cn 2011-08-16 17:25:33

TRIPOLI, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Forces loyal to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi have declared victory in the stronghold of Misrata as soldiers fought their way into the city center, a government spokesman said Monday.

Government forces had started wiping out the remaining rebel forces inside Misrata, a city some 200 km east of Tripoli, Moussa Ibrahim told a local television station.

Ibrahim said local tribal forces had provided much help to maintain the city's security during the fighting.

The spokesman also denied the rebel claim that they had taken the city of Zawiyah, some 50 km west of Tripoli. He said the rebel forces in Zawiyah were weak and that it was only a matter of time before their defeat.

The rebels on Sunday claimed to have entered Zawiyah and controlled the vital transportation route between Libya's capital and the western mountainous areas.
