It's not just in the poor schools, they do it in the wealthy schools too. These students have been force-fed the liberal pablum for so long they are no longer capable of thinking for themselves.

The one bright spot is that all these "down with the establishment" former hippies are aging. They have also failed the brainwash all their students. Their liberal culture will die with them, JMO, as a new culture of conservative, fiscally-responsible students emerge.

Where it was once conservative parents with spoiled liberal children, it will come full circle as children of these liberals rebel.
