A recent budget cut of more than a $1 million in state funds has affected Chicanos Por La Causa (CPLC), a non-profit agency.
At the state level, the cut directly impacted the Family Center Promotoras program, which provides a wide range of social services that CPLC offers separately and in coordination with other agencies.
The Promotoras program had to dismiss 25 employees, five were in the Yuma area.
