Chinese Fake ID's Intercepted In Fargo

The Department of Homeland Security intercepted the package from China that contained six bogus licenses and called Fargo police, who delivered the package and arrested the teen when he accepted it.


FARGO - A Fargo man is in trouble for possessing fake driver's licenses. The Department of Homeland Security intercepted the package from China that contained six bogus licenses and called Fargo police, who delivered the package and arrested the teen when he accepted it.

Sergeant Mark Lykken says the licenses were authentic looking. The 19-year-old is facing a misdemeanor charge for possessing an altered license.

Lykken said “They passed all the security measures, and in the book we use to coordinate looking up fake ID's, they would have passed. These are excellent quality fake ID's. It's important for people to realize that if you order these, you could get caught, and you'll face stiff penalties.â€
