What steps do we take to report the Illegal Employer?

Does anyone know what the best thing to do would be. You know we will see a bunch still working even when the new law goes into effect.

I did that today on a contracting company who admitted they hire illegals with the blessing of our state senator Bob Bennett. I just love it when they go public about it. Is that our best bet? Should we contact ICE, our Govenor ect ect?

We need to let everyone know that if we harbor illegals in our states there will be no funding for Homeland Security coming there way.

Call ICE. You can also call the IRS to report employers who may be paying off the books or underpaying taxes. You may call anonymously. You can also call the Social Security Administration fraud line to report employers. Employees and others need to start doing this.

This is also good standard advice on the subject (the above - thanks GP).

Also, I know my state gov't has really geared up it's collections mechanisms to go after anyone not fully paying their state taxes - lumber companies cutting more than claimed board feet/or mis-stating claims, selling of tobacco/alcohol illegally, and general dead-beat private citizens - just about anyone and everyone is 'on the local Dept. of Revenue' radar if you were supposed to pay up but didn't. This might be another avenue to explore with your state Revenue Dept.

Grandmasmad, I have always boycotted casinos.
I've never been able to grasp the concept of "playing" like that with money. It was/is too hard to get my hands on to chance losing it.

Head 'em up,move 'em out Rawhide!
