NO!!!! They are intentionally rushing this through. Just like they did with the Patriot Act and just like they tried to do with the Amnesty Bill. Everytime the powers that be want to get their way, they always use this tactic. Ram it through and to hell with the American people.

Hey, don't WE get to see it before it gets voted on? Where's the public debate?

Rush Limbaugh is stating that Congressman John Boehner is saying that the House Republicans have not signed onto this. There is no bailout deal agreement yet.

Urgent: Boehner adding to Bachus comment about "no deal."
Per Pergram-Capitol Hill
Off-camera, to Fox, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-OH) concurred with Bachus that there was no deal yet. But said there seemed to be a broad consensus on the macro principles. But there was still a lot of heavy lifting on the "core" and the details of what this package may look like.

Urgent: Rep. Bachus: "There is no deal yet."
Per Pergram-Capitol Hill
The top Republican on the House Financial Services Committee, Rep. Spencer Bachus (R-AL) tells Fox "there is no deal yet" on financial crisis legislation even though Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd (D-CT) said there was a "fundamental agreement of principles.
House Democrats suggest that the Republicans are unwilling to sign off on a deal until it fully has the blessing of John McCain.
Bachus says one sticking point is that Democrats are asking for buying back paired assets from a few Wall Street firms. He says Republicans would prefer helping what he described as smaller, Main Street Banks.
Bachus did concede there was process.

Have you noticed that the only Republican senator who regularly appears at the TV press announcements about this bailout is Mel Martinez of Florida? That is cause for grave suspicion right there!

Hopefully the conservatives among the Republicans, will hold firm on this, and not cave to this deal. If the Republicans do throw in the towel and endorse this deal, I think a lot of conservative Republican voters will be exiting the GOP, for alternative parties.
