This November we predict "The Collapse of '09" as a Top Trend for 2009. We are so sure of this forecast that we have recently secured the domain name, Collapseof09.com.

When we contacted you last year with our Top Trends list we wrote:

In 2008, Americans will wake up to the worst economic times that anyone alive has ever seen. And they won't know what hit them. Just as they were in a state of shock on 9/11, they'll be frozen in fear when the Economic 9/11 strikes at the heart of Wall Street.

The "Panic of 08" hit as predicted, and so did the Economic 9/11 we had forecast when Lehman Brothers went bust, Merrill Lynch crashed, and A.I.G. was nationalized this past September.

Last year we wrote:

Dismiss this trend forecast at your own peril. If you believe everything will be all right, and that the ship of state is sailing along just fine, toss this out and go about your business.

I know what Mr Celente is saying all too well. It has hit too many in the blue collar for the last 10 years. The government is continuing to bleed us dry with taxation we can nolonger afford, and with the bailouts, it will now affect every American, reguardless of rank and stature. The size of government and it's opperating costs have reached critical mass. The only way to reduce this is by having government reduce it's size. But we all know this doesn't happen. Government is not in the business of controlling itself. It is up to us, the people to rein them in. It has always been that way, and will be that way in the future.

What most people don't realise is the Roosevelt Administration of the 30s was the zienith of government size and control. After that even though it continues to grow we get diminishing returns. It's appetite has grown so insatiable, that we can no longer afford them. Or the over sized power they have amassed and assumed over the people instead of truely serving them.

The only way to fix this is to reduce the size and power of government like the Constitution states, and return it to negative force instead of the positive force it has become. Let the people go back to taking care of themselves, like they did prior to the 30s, as it will cut a lot of fat that needs to be trimmed. This means a lot of socialist programs that have come into being will have to go the way of the dod, as they don't work except for expanding in size to where they cost more to operate than they give back to the community.

I think one of the bleakest articles I have found or read is the fact that Bangledesh has more money than the US. I wrote the article and many main stream websites picked up on it. I found that info on the CIA site!

Peter Schiff has also been warning about an economic collapse is 2009.
