Obama said yesterday that everything was debated over and over in Congress concerning the proposed health care/insurance issue. That is a bald faced lie. What has not been discussed, and no conclusion arrived at is, where in our Constitution have the people of the various States granted an intended power to authorize the federal government to enter the various united States and enforce federal legislation taxing for, spending on and regulating the health care needs and choices of the people within the respective united States?

It’s a very easy question to answer Obama, especially for one who is portrayed as a constitutional law professor!

You may want to start by pointing to Federalist No. 45:

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will, for the most part, be connected.

The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.

Gee, Professor, that would appear to suggest no such power was granted. And, if no such power was granted Professor Obama, could it be that our president and the Democrat Party leadership is attempting to usurp such power?

I also hear that a majority of the America People are not in favor of the federal government interfering with and dictating the decisions they make regarding their health care needs. I also discovered that our federal Constitution actually requires consent of the people via Article V of our Constitution for our federal government to exercise powers not granted by our existing Constitution. So, Professor Obama, since you assert everything has been debated over and over, where in our Constitution have the people of the various united States granted an intended power to authorize the federal government to enter the various united States and enforce federal legislation taxing for, spending on and regulating the health care needs and choices the people may make?
