Confirmed: Rats Flee Sinking White House Ship

Britain's Independent confirms what any seafarer could tell us: rats flee sinking ships. In this case, the rats are of a political ilk and they're fleeing the listing, sputtering Obama's White House. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 89118.html

The exodus - as the Independent describes it - is being led by the notorious locker room nudist and lib capo, Rahm Emanuel. Emanuel's done such a bang-up job piloting the Obama's White House onto the shoals that he's out for a promotion, of sorts. He wants to bring his statist magic to ailing Chicago, http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?sectio ... id=7687994 which is no longer a toddlin' town as much as it's a topplin' town. Could Mayor Rahm Emanuel do to Chi-town what he and his fellow leftists have managed to do to the United States in less than two years? If scale matters, the answer is an unqualified "yes."

Then there's Larry Summers and those other really bright economic minds that have guided the nation toward a possible second recession and sovereign debt crisis. http://www.americanthinker.com/2010/09/ ... est_h.html Yes, Keynesian clap-trap works - if the work to be done is about taking on too much bilge water and sinking the nation's economic ship. That bilge water is gargantuan spending and debt, more unaffordable government programs, plenty more red tape, and right around the bend, higher taxes.

Make no mistake, the rats now jumping the Obama's White House are merely the first to go. Politicos, like rats, have one unshakeable principle: when things go badly, save your own crummy neck.

Of course, Capt'n Barack and his mates will spin the departures as typical for the midterm of a president's run. How many Obama functionaries are being made to walk the plank is hard say. The shrewder ones are diving and swimming like heck, though.

Pity that politicos, like rats, can swim.
