Congress' $3,000 per Household Tax Increase

Congress' $3,000 per Household Tax Increase

Washington has no budget problems that higher taxes cannot solve. So seems the message from Congress.

The House- and Senate-passed budgets would raise taxes on every American taxpayer by an average of $3,000 per household. But don’t expect Congress to share in the sacrifice: The budget would hike discretionary spending by 8 percent, and not cut a single government program.

First, the tax increase. The largest four-year revenue surge in 40 years has pushed tax revenues to 18.8 percent of GDP -- well above the historical average. Yet the House-passed budget tied itself to a revenue baseline that assumes the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts will expire, and that the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT) will catch another 20 million Americans. American's keep paying more and more taxes so the United States can continue to subsidize the illegal invaders and Bush can contemplate giving 1.5 billion to Mexico to fight THEIR war on drugs.

When are the American people going to stand up and say, enough is enough! What are we getting as a nation for this increase in taxes?

I knew there was going to be a catch for this so called "stimulus package" that Bush authorized. Give them $600-$1200 this year and take $3000 more next year.

We cannot even get our elected officials to secure our borders and enforce the rule of law and you want more of my hard earned money!

Well, we're going to have to support the 30 to 40 million people we legalize over the next couple years because their minimum wage/no benefit jobs aren't going to provide for a family of eight.
