    Look, there are two lousy choices. One will have more opposition from his party members in Congress than the other. That is the weaker opponent. We're in for a fight again and again as this curse of the living dead amnesty keeps coming back up. And W. has us surrounding Washington with local actions to counter an Executive that defies the People. McCain will face a different country than the one Bush tried to fool. Vote and fight on!

    GOOD points, Loserville.

    It is indeed a different American than when W took office. At least perhaps 30% of us have now woken up to a big mess and are not ready to go down with the ship just yet.

    Thanks jjmm. I was referring to William as W. here, but what you say is still true. The federal government sits close to the ocean. Let's push it in state by state.

    One other aspect of this that I want to mention is this: illegal immigration has not affected all parts of the country in the same way. I was just visting the Tidewater area of Virginia this past weekend, and friends were saying it just isn't that much of a problem there..
    I think the problem has to get so much worse before Americans, ALL Americans begin to really wake up.
    Apparently these people haven't read the latest PEW report.

    No read what i said. And certainly do not advocate 'rolling-over" Because letting Hillbama take the White House IS rolling over.
    I do advocate getting McCain elected with the full understanding that we will have to battle him at many turns to keep him in line. It is the only scenario in which we have a chance to be heard listened to and live to fight another day.[/quote:2zlbzyhu]

    no. The republican party has become a "whatever the republican says we agree on" party, where dissenters are hated. Much like republicans now go with whatever Bush says, they will do the same with mccain.

    At least the democrats admit they are socialist unlike mcinsane.

    He is not getting my vote, now way.

    Oh and with the coming recession the following president will only last 1 term.

    McCain won't get my vote. It'll be worse with him in there trying to push his agenda that the Dems will wholeheartedly agree with and also the Republicans whose arms he twists! At least with Obama or Hillary, the Republicans will circle the wagons and fight. It only takes 40 votes to stop anything in the Senate.
    McCain will get what he deserves, nothing!

    Personally, I'd like McCain to lose his dream of being President. He's too old to run again. It would give another candidate in four years a clear field.

    I read or heard on TV that McCain was thinking about giving up his senate seat if he is elected the nominee.

    None of the 3 Presidential Candidates are getting my vote.

    I don't think Obama, Clinton, or McCain are getting my vote.
    All three have pathetic voting records on illegal immigration (in violation of Article 4, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution).
    Maybe Ralph Nader?
    Not many choices this election for president.
    McCain's voting record on illegal immigration is as bad as Obama's and Hillary's.

    John McCain's voting record, statements, positions;
    John McCain: career immigration grade: "D", recent grade: "D" (27%) (this violates Article 4, Section 4)

    Hillary Clinton's voting record, statements, positions ;
    Hillary Clinton: career immigraton grade: "D", recent grade: "D-" (22%) (this violates Article 4, Section 4)

    Barack Obama's voting record, statements, positions;
    Barack Obama: career immigration grade: "D-", recent grade: "D-" (20%) (this violates Article 4, Section 4)

    All in Congress are also in violation of Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

    And none of them are serious about stopping these 10+ abuses that have been cheating most Americans for over 30 years (abuses that did not all come about by mere coincidence).

    If the voters repeatedly reward irresponsible incumbent politicians with 93%-to-99% re-election rates, the voters have the government that the voters deserve.

    Most voters don't know that Do-Nothing Congress enjoys 93%-to-99% re-election rates.
    Half of the voters don't even bother to vote at all.

    Most of the voters that do vote blindly pull the party lever, rewarding irresponsible incumbent politicians, despite the majority of voters that whine and complain about a corrupt and dysfunctional Congress and give Congress dismally low 11%-to-18% approval ratings.

    Most of the voters simply can not overcome their blind loyalty to THEIR party.

    Too many voters are:
    • too complacent, apathetic, and lazy;

    • blindly loyal to THEIR party, and have abdicated their responsibility to think, and reason, and vote responsibly to THEIR party;

    • too ignorant; that is not said with malice; but ignorance invites abuse by those that know how to exploit others' ignorance;

    • too irrationally fearful of the OTHER party winning seats, so they ALWAYS pull the party-lever (i.e. vote straight ticket), the politicians are experts at fueling the partisan-warfare, and some voters are all too happy to wallow in the circular, divisive, blame-game, distracting partisan-warfare; oblivious to the way the way their politicians distract and manipulate the voters;

    • are single issue voters (i.e. I want health care ! ). Thus, they are easy to manipulate.

    • insane and delusional; after all, what do they call it when you do the same thing over and over and expect a different result?

    Most voters do not even know who their Congress persons are, much less their Congress persons' voting records.
    rather wallow in the petty, partisan-warfare, and demonize and blame the OTHER party, because that is easier then admitting that THEIR own party is really no different than the OTHER party. Both are so corrupt and irresponsible, there is truly no significant difference, as evidenced by their voting records and the decline of the U.S. over the past 30+ years.

    Most voters can not name 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, or even 268 (half of 535) in Do-Nothing Congress that are responsible and accountable, but those voters repeatedly reward the same irresponsible and corrupt incumbent politicians with 93%-to-99% re-election rates.

    Most voters fail to understand these 10+ abuses that have been cheating Americans for over 30 years; abuses that did not all come about by mere coincidence;

    And in this upcoming 04-Nov-2008 election, too many voters will focus only on the office of President and Vice President, continue to repeatedly reward irresponsible incumbent politicians in Congress with perpetual re-election (despite Congress' dismal approval ratings), and saddle the next President again with the same dysfunctional, irresponsible, corrupt, FOR-SALE, Do-Nothing Congress, and the nation's pressing problems will continue to grow in number and severity, threatening the future and security of the nation, as the U.S. decays into total fiscal and moral bankruptcy.

    But don't worry.
    It can't last forever.
    Americans won't be as apathetic, complacent, delusional, and lazy when they are jobless, homeless, and hungry.
    Thus, there is a natural built-in self-correction mechanism . . .

    QUESTION: When will the apathy, complacency, blind loyalty, ignorance, laziness, irrational fear, and insanity finally end?

    ANSWER: It will end when it becomes too painful.

    So, regardless who the next El Presidente is, perhaps the voters would be wise to not saddle the next El Presidente with the same corrupt, irresponsible, lying, Do-nothing Congress again? After all, 93%-to-99% re-election rates for Congress is not working, is it?

    Thus, the voters have the government that the voters deserve.

    I will not vote for Mccain. I will write in my candidate, Ron Paul. I will not turn my back on my principles. This handful of candidates scares me do death.
