Construction next door, early Saturday
/Yawn
Totally off topic but I swear I want to go next door and scream at the non-speaking-English workers who started hammering and banging away at 7AM this morning. It's a Saturday...a day when people should be allowed to sleep in. (It's a two-family on a single-family plot of land.)
I'm going to phone the town to find out the hours they are supposed to be working on a weekend. Plus I'm going to start parking our MiniVan out front so their trucks can't sit there. I know they are not American because of the Portuguese/Spanish name on the trucks and I hear only Spanish.
My husband has already complained to them twice about other issues & the one guy lied to him about something. They are rude and disrespectful (shocker, heh?). Plus one of them ruined our sidewalk somehow.
We have a 21 month old son and our new baby boy is arriving in 2 weeks. I suppose there is nothing we can do about all this noise when we come home from the hospital. Hopefully the newborn won't be phased. The worse is that I'm worried at who will be renting right next to us.
Thanks for letting me vent... /yawns again.

Most states have a law that construction noise, and vechicles such as trash trucks, cannot run on weekends until after 9:00 a.m.

That law probably only applies to legal construction workers, not illegal
